The days in our cocoon are numbered- 137 to be exact. These last few weeks we have been starting to prepare for starting school next year and I can feel a shift happening. I've started reminiscing of their tiny days and how I longed for this time to come and how big and grown up they've gotten lately. Those early days, weeks and months were so sweet and terrifying and we all grew together into the unit we are now, we've come so far!

I'm excited with them and nervous with them, we are riding the roller coaster together. I wish I could protect them from making mistakes, and the mean kids but I also know these experiences will make them into the best version of themselves...it's quite the conundrum 😅 most of all I'm grateful for the last six years we've had together and that they get to go off on this big adventure together! Who is glad we are no longer adding to our waste by using plastic straws here in SA? Probably not a choice I would have committed to consistently, so I'm glad our government has put it into place making me make a better impact on out environment. Not so keen on soggy cardboard straws? Me either!
