Self care needed today! Lockdown 6.0 in Melbourne extended.

I am grateful that my daughter Mia got to celebrate her 18th birthday 🥳 before lockdown. As our lockdown is now extended for another week, I hope my fellow Melbournites are trying to remain positive. I’m exhausted, frustrated and loosing motivation not to mention eating too much. What are you doing to remain sane? 👎

Today we worked on our SMART goals for the term. The girls brainstormed their strengths and challenges with a partner, talked through various things they would like to achieve, and came up with a goal. Such a great great afternoon full of discussion.

With another week extension to lockdown, hoping all teachers in Melbourne and Sydney are coping. The weather in Melbourne is freezing 🥶 today with sideways rain. What is your little escape? What keeps you sane? My go to is always to call my best friend!

Here we go again, back to online learning. We are now all experts at being adaptable, my kids love the following:
Kahoot, online Boggle (word shake is great)
Guess the image, look up microscopic photos and have the students guess what it is.

After talking today with the lovely and knowledgeable Amanda from .on.heads she recommended some great reads before the start of term three. Currently on the couch with a vino reading the Ebook of The Writing Revolution.
