If so, this free 12 hour online course developed by the Health in Humanitarian Crises Centre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine may be for you.
It runs over three weeks (four hours a week) and begins on Monday, 6 February. It will cover the key health needs in humanitarian crises and how to develop responses with maximum impact. It's aimed at health care practitioners and NGO staff: http://bit.ly/2iPLsjW

From The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne:
Global Health Volunteer Opportunity at the Royal Children’s Hospital
World leaders have set ambitious goals for child and adolescent health in the Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescent’s Health 2016-2030. These goals aim to end preventable deaths of around 6 million children under 5 years of age and to realise the potential of the largest ever generation of adolescents to improve health and education, end poverty and address climate change.
We’re a part of the global effort to achieve the SDGs here in Melbourne. Together the Royal Children’s Hospital, Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and the University of Melbourne are the Melbourne Children’s Campus, the largest child and adolescent health research group in the region.
If you are interested in learning more about global child and adolescent health join us at Melbourne Children’s Global Health Week, from Monday 28 November to Friday 2 December 2016. If you want to be part of our dedicated team, we’re looking for volunteers to program workshops, assist with sponsorships and partners, and contribute to our social media. We would expect a minimum time commitment of a few hours a week until December 2016.
Contact Jane Hawtin, Programs Manager – Global, Royal Children’s Hospital [email protected] with a short email outlining how you’d like to volunteer, your availability and attaching your CV. Successful applicants will be contacted to arrange a casual interview.
