A beautiful sunrise at Burgess Beach. Sometimes it's worthwhile getting up a little earlier than usual 😀
We spend so much time with our heads buried in a screen. There's a lot to be said for just leaving the phone at home, getting out, and just paying attention to your surroundings. The phone will still be there when you get home, and I'll bet that it didn't even miss you...
A beautiful and peaceful sunrise at the Tuncurry Rockpool this morning.

Sunset at the Breakwall, Forster NSW.
Sometimes you look out of your window, asking yourself if it's worth traveling to get a photo of the sunset....
After all, it does look rather dull and uninteresting. But even though it looks like crap, you have a look at the cloud forecast, and begrudgingly get off your butt to drive down to the waterfront on the off chance that it will be ok.....
... And then, mother nature takes over and works her magic, and shows you who's really in charge of our tiny planet.

Sunrise at Burgess beach, Easter Sunday.
Around 2000 years ago, a young carpenter was doing his best to get people to be nice to one another.
So they nailed him to a tree.
We just never learn.
Have a nice Easter, and be nice to people!

After recent major storms and flooding, it was nice to just stand and watch this morning's sunrise. We survived with minor water damage to our shed and garage. Some poor people lost their homes, cars, pets, and livestock. One man drowned while waiting to be rescued. Now comes weeks of road repairs and cleaning up the mess. Mother Nature is a powerful adversary sometimes.
Forster Breakwall.
A simple distressed timber frame on a 60cm print.
Printed and framed on-site, using luxurious Canson Rag Photographique 310gsm paper. Finished in three coats of Hahnemuhle Protective Spray. The lifespan of the finished work will be in excess of 100 years if handled and displayed correctly.
Recently I acquired a number of vintage cameras, and a couple of them had film loaded still.... Here's the result of the first roll I developed. It was a roll of Kodak Verichrome Pan, which was sold between 1954 and 1995. Only three frames survive, and the quality is poor, but they are pretty cool nonetheless :)
The place is unknown, and will forever be a mystery......
Sometimes it happens... You are in the right place, at the right time.
Everything aligned for me with this shot...
The paddleboarder paddled out of shot.
The group of people on the jetty went home.
The boat at the ramp finally got loaded and headed off.
The water calmed.
The lady who said it wasn't going to be a good sunset disappeared.
The clouds rolled across.
I sat on the grass taking it all in, just me, the camera, and the dog.
The dog peed on me! OK, that swiftly brought me back to reality!

Sunset time!
At the back of Pacific Palms Recreation Club, here on the beautiful Mid-North Coast, there is a little jetty that I've wanted to photograph for a while. Today was the day.
I headed down in the last afternoon, with Roxy the neurotic Puggle and the drone. I was hoping to get some behind the scenes footage and aerial photos.

I was very excited after finding out that the sunset and a full-moon moonrise will be happening concurrently!
I charged my batteries, cleaned my lenses, and started to do some research....
