We’re curious, if you’re an artist, do you often paint to a theme for a group show? Or are most of your exhibitions open themed?

A theme can push you to think outside of your usual parameters but then there’s the hope you’ll still stay true to you!

We’d love to know what you think!

This work by was painted for the theme ‘black & white’ - a show on now . Artists we’re asked to respond to that theme and many different interpretations ensued.

I’m quite a fan of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race and like to watch the start most years of possible. It has taken place every Boxing Day (26 December) since 1945!

On this particular occasion we had the chance to watch the start from the water, right out near the Heads! What a magnificent exciting spectacle! Those front runners are massive and incredibly fast on the water.

Coupled with the majesty of the yachts and their billowing sails, the many spectator craft add to the atmosphere. It really is a site well worth seeing.

And the start is just the beginning. Many challenges lie ahead, across the several days of sailing. It is not a race for the faint hearted!

Posted • On this last day of 2023, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all those who have supported and encouraged me this past year. This includes my friends family, mentors, galleries collectors and followers. Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏

What a year it has been! Further exploration has been undertaken into painting the ocean and its harbour beaches, ferries and spacious rural landscapes.

A small selection I have loved painting this past year:

All such places give rise to a sense of freedom and joy for me. This is what I wish to create and share. I wish every one of you a sense of freedom and joy as this year closes and a new one starts in 2024.
