A recent large systematic review & meta analysis study shows that Vitamin D supplementation can be helpful for depression as an adjunct to gold standard treatment which is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and medication. (Please discuss with your Doctor).
Additional to this is lifestyle improvements which can really help people with drug resistant depression.
