The Schipp family celebrated Doodle Cooma Poll Herefords 75 years of breeding this week at the 59th Herefords Australia National Show and Sale - Wodonga!
Thank you to Herefords Australia for presenting us with this lovely award on such a momentous occasion.

Our bulls placed third in both their classes and looked terrific. A huge thanks to Stuart Hobbs Hobbs Livestock for always going above and beyond with our cattle!

Doodle Cooma Pastoral Company this year celebrates our 75th year as Poll Hereford breeders.

It has been a wonderful couple of weeks looking through photos, reflecting on the stud's beginnings, achievements, and longevity.

Daryl and his father, The Hon. Joe Schipp OAM, took over the stud in 1971 after it was established in 1949 by Alf Pitson of Henty, NSW.

As well as the success of the cattle, Daryl has contributed to the breed by co-founding the Twin City Junior Heifer Show, in Albury, which set the benchmark for heifer shows around Australia.
Daryl was also President of the Riverina Breeders Group for many years.

The Schipp Family have enjoyed shaping the Doodle Cooma Poll Herefords stud to what it is today, and hope for many more successful years.

Another great Must Be Reds sale at NVLX last week!

💥MUST BE REDS💥 sale 8th. Feb NVLX
There was an increase in the number of registered cattle vendors including MtCharlie and the Powe family.
Highlights were a Schipp's Beef Enterprises cow Red Wing P60 and calf $5000, Maddy Telford's Melbourne Royal Red Angus Supreme exhibit MGT Cattle Co Texas $6200. Bulls sold to solid results both locally and to Tasmania and agents placed a number not meeting reserve after the sale. A thrill for Redgums Red Angus was their 7 month old show potential heifer selling for $3000 to Fable Red Angus. The girls Ruby, Jade and Isabelle and their father Justin and mum Kassy and grandparents attended a successful morning tea after the sale with many of our sale vendors offering advice and offers to help.
A huge thankyou to Jacko and David Meehan and all at Corcoran Parker for your ongoing support. Also Kim at StockLive for the valuable catalogue online leading up to the sale and Eliza at Red Angus Society of Australia for promotions support; the catalogue was referred to by many buyers!
