For most founders, it's A: fear of failure. But here's the thing: you'll never know what could have been unless you take the leap. Every founder we've worked with has felt this way at some point, but they took the chance and made it happen. πŸš€

Two Key Takeaways to Get You Started:

1⃣ You don't need to spend money to start planning:
One of the biggest misconceptions about starting a business is that it requires a significant financial investment from the get-go. However, the truth is that you can make substantial progress in the initial phases without spending a single dollar.
By investing your time in planning, you'll:
πŸ’Έ Save money by avoiding costly mistakes and missteps
🎯 Set yourself up for success by clarifying your business goals and objectives
πŸ“ˆ Create a valuable asset that will help you secure funding or investment
πŸ—ΊοΈ Develop a clear roadmap for growth and scalability
✨ Gain confidence and clarity in your business vision

2⃣ Build a supportive network:
Your professional network is also a cost-free yet priceless asset. By cultivating a strong network of like-minded entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry experts, you'll gain:
πŸ’¬ Fresh perspectives and new ideas
🧠 Access to expertise and guidance
πŸ”₯ Motivation and focus
🌐 Help navigating challenges and overcoming obstacles
πŸŽ‰ Celebration of successes and learning from setbacks

Unfortunately, approximately 85% of new consumer packaged food products fail within the first two years. Why?

It often comes down to the lack of solid planning at the outset. Without thorough market research, a robust business model, and detailed financial planning, many products struggle to find their footing.

How to avoid this:

πŸ” Understand Your Market: If you don’t dive deep into market research, you might not fully grasp your accurate customer profile or what problems you need to solve for them. This intel is the framework to build upon.

πŸ“ˆ Build a Strong Business Model: Think of your business model as your game plan. It lays out where your money will come from, what costs to anticipate, and how your product delivers unique value. Without this, you’re navigating blindly.

πŸ’°Plan Your Finances: Proper budgeting and forecasting are essential. If you mismanage your finances, you could face early setbacks that drain your resources, delay your growth and worst case lose a lot of money before you even begin.

But here’s the good news: you don’t have to go it alone. Our upcoming Value+d program is a close knit community that provides the support, guidance and resources you need to turn your Value+d dream into reality - methodically with experts.

🌧️ Their mimics electrical storms to boost yield of plants and fungi, key ingredients for products.

⚑️Plants and fungi are heavily influenced by environmental, electrical charges, a phenomenon that is under-utilised in modern agriculture. To create the Rainstick solution, co-founders Darryl Lyons and Mic Black combined modern technology with ancient wisdom stemming from Darryl’s ancestors, the Maiawali people, an Aboriginal tribe from southwest Queensland.

Their interim results show increased yields and speed of growth while simultaneously inhibiting mould growth, eliminating the need for fungicides.

Launched in partnership with GROW with the support of Innovate UK, our GROW2Asiaβ„’ Future Protein Program is a 5-month internationalisation hub helping scaleups to accelerate their expansion into Asia and secure commercial opportunities while catalysing systems change in Asia’s protein sub-sector.
