West Coast All Sprints
ASDRA - West Coast All Sprints is a divison comprised of 320s and 360s, Limited Sprintcars all racing together.
We are aiming to use LS1, 2 & 3 motors in the future to make an affordable sprint car group. We currently accept all of the above named motors.
The Corrigin speedway club put on a promotional display at the annual Corrigin show on Saturday and a great day it was. With absolutely beautiful weather to put the cars on display and the interest that is now being generated in the town, people are very excited and looking forward to opening day.
The picture of all our team members on the day with their club shirts on looks great, these people are working hard along with the towns people to get the track finished.
To celebrate Corrigin speedway club being resurrected, ASDRA west coast speedcars and sprintcars are proud to offer our limited speedway tee shirts to members and none members.
Don’t miss out! We are taking orders now, $35 for members and $40 for none members, sprintcars and speedcars on front and our sponsors on the back.
Well, we were up at Corrigin on the weekend installing the steel poles for the pit gates and installing more of our concrete wall for the track.
Things were going along great until the heavens opened up and we were rained out, but we will be back up there next weekend to finish the job and hang the pit gates.
Big thank you to local residents Barney Gallinagh who provided all the equipment from Corrigin contracting on the day, Steve from Corrigin tyer power and Barney’s mates, Ted and Trevor thanks men well done.
The club had its election for office bearers on the 25/7/22.
The club is moving ahead and into new and uncharted territory, as our track draws closer to reality, we will have many exciting times ahead I’m sure. We must stay focused and positive and the the future is ours for the taking.
I’m very proud of our club and the members and the direction we are taking, I see us as a beacon to other clubs, we will welcome other divisions to our track and not push people away.
I would like to thank Les North who is going off our committee for all his help over the past year and I would like to welcome Colin Schofield to the committee.
Thank you everyone, the president Rob Archibald 👍🏼
We had a trip up to our track in Corrigin on the weekend and we got a lot done, sorting out all the rubbish that had been put in the middle of our track.
I can tell you all it’s really starting to look like a speedway track, all the crap that had been put on the infield has now been removed and is once again looking like a infield, with the concrete panels going in and the gates and the catch fence being erected.
Keep watching this space, the time is getting closer speedway fans.
Some of our members took a trip up to our track in Corrigin on the weekend and got stuck into a big clean up of the site to get the track ready for racing.
Big thank you to Les North of North Star transport for supplying one of his trucks to transport scrap metal from the site back to Perth.
Everyone did a fantastic job of cleaning up the site with local people joining in and really getting things moving.
We will be heading up again in three weeks to put more concrete panels into place and start erecting the catch fence, so all those who want help out you are more than welcome.

Well dads army went to Corrigin on the weekend to start work on the concrete safety wall and the safety catch fence.
It’s great to see things happening at our track at long last as the guys start to prepare the track for racing. There’s still a long way to go but we are getting closer, thanks team fantastic effort 👍🏼👏🏼
Well Robs been on to me to give a progress report on the Corrigin speedway rebuild and things are moving along at a good pace.
Rob has explained to me how the the build is going and how the process will all fall into place.
There has been a steady delivery of concrete panels over the last week with many more still to come and the best thing is, Rob did a deal with a concrete company to supply concrete panels at half price. Colin Schofield has done a fantastic job building the pit gates, well done Col and Ken Reid for organising all the steel.
A big thank you to Bunbury speedway for donating all the safety fence poles and to Dan Beamish and Des Alfirevich for loading them all up and taking them to Corrigin.
Well this is the plan for the next stage, the start finish control tower will be put in to place, the concrete wall be put into place and the pit gates will be installed, once these are completed we will start to install the catch fence.
I hear a lot of misinformation being put out there by people who are not members of our club, well let me assure everybody, everything this club does is 100% in-line with the WA speedway commission and always will be, end of story!
We had our end of year Christmas wind up today, with a poker run and lunch at the Stud Counrty Tavern in North Dandalup. A good day was had by all with Dennis Sparno winning the poker hand and pocketing a nice $1000 for Christmas.
Thank you to everyone who turned up to support our club today.
Keep a close eye on our club next year, there are big things happening with the constitution of Corrigin speedway.
Have a good Christmas and a happy new year.

Both must be current there will be no exceptions!!
Don’t forget team we have a general meeting tonight Monday 27th at usual place 7.30
Well we went up to Kellerberrin speedway on the 18th of September to play in the dirt, with only 3 cars on the day, it was a good opportunity for young Briggs and Sexton, who are both rookie drivers, to have a run. The other driver on the day was Russell Bennett who took Jess Briggs under his wing on the day giving her help and advice.
Poor Jess had a hard day driving sprintcar 18 on the day, having handling problems all day with everyone having a go at fixing the problem. Car owner Rob Archibald, Russ Bennett and even Jess’s dad Jeremy Briggs all had ideas what was wrong, but no luck in correcting the problem, until the last heat race when sprintcar 18 came back in to the pits on the tow truck, turns out the front brakes had been locking on causing the car to spin out. A quick bodgie fix up just to get the car into the feature race and away she went, driving a perfect race to grab second behind Russell Bennett with Sexton coming in third.
Big thanks to Russell Bennett on the day for all his help.
Well, we had our AGM to vote in our committee tonight.
I would like to thank our past committee for all their work over the past year and welcome our new members on to the team, president Rob Archibald, treasurer Julie Archibald and secretary Melissa Gray were re-elected unopposed, new members are Des Alfirevich as Vice President and new committee members Les North, Brett Schofield and Ken Reid.
A special thanks to Ricky Williams and Stacey Gray for being our adjudicators tonight too.
Don’t forget team, on Monday the 30th is our big meeting for elections for positions on our committee, please remember all members need to be there to have a say and keep our club moving forward.
Meeting starts at 7.30 usual place and remember, you must be a financial member to vote.
Calling for nominations for Kellerberrin on the 18th of September.
The usual stuff team, it’s a day meeting, so in the pits by 10am & first race at 12 midday.
Let’s put on a good show, like we have been with good car counts and good racing, so come on boys and girls let’s make it another great day.
Well team, after going up to Corrigin today to have a look at our track, we will have to postpone our busy bee and the delivery of our concrete panels. The reason for this is constant heavy rain over the past week & that has left the track too wet to bring in heavy equipment, so we will have to wait for a window of good weather.
Well crew, we are starting to stockpile our concrete blocks for our wall, we hope to start transporting them up to Corrigin next weekend. Big thanks to North Star transport, the father and son team of Les and Arron and also Paul Doyle for all there help.
Once we put the the new wall in, we will erect the catch fence, I now have the new track layout and plans that have kindly been drawn up by the West Australian speedway commission for our club, so a big thanks to them for their help.
I want to thank everyone in the club for the effort that we are all making to get our track up and running, I’m very confident that we will have our track up and running next year.
Don’t forget team, on the 17th of July we have a busy bee at our track in Corrigin.
We will be getting rid of all the scrap metal on site and having a tidy up, at this stage we hope we will be delivering our first truck load of concrete panels for our wall, so be there!!
At our meeting on Monday the 28th of June, for all those wishing to nominate for a position on the board, then you will need to nominate on this day.
The AGM will follow at our next meeting so if you feel like you have more to offer our great club & want to get really involved, this is your chance.
Hi team, just to let everyone know our machine examination and car registration day will be on the 3rd of July, at North Star transport at unit 4,11 church rd Maddington Saturday after 12 midday. So as you know you will need your cars, registration books, race gear and money!!
😁 see you there.
Well team we did it, our Corrigin show was a massive success with estimates of up to a thousand people through the gates at our track, well done team 👍🏼
It was something to see this many at our track and to speak to all the interested people. With all the attractions and race cars on display, there was something for everyone.
We had veteran super sedan driver Kevin Bell there, to give a speech to the crowd on speedway racing and how to get involved in the sport and Peter Griffiths explaining the rules and regulations along with Des Alfirevich from the speedway commission, telling people about our future plains for the track and of course the big attraction on the day, bumblebee which all the kids just loved and some of the adults as well.
We had the local branch of rotary at the advent doing a sausage sizzle and selling drinks to the crowd, thanks heaps guys.
Well with speedcars, quarter midgets, sprintcars, super sedans, vintage and the quarter scale speedway club displaying cars there was plenty to see.
We had our treasurer Julie and secretary Melissa manning our information tent and a big thank you to Julie for making up all the prizes and give aways.
Well team the next step is getting our wall delivered and installed and this will be happening ASAP so a big thanks to everyone well done team.
