in recent years a friday night has been a relaxing time with the adhoc splurge of some facebook escapism a refreshing change when the music or movies are temporarily exhausted...

I've got to say that friday nights brings out the best of a lot of what I love to bring me back here... my friends, their passions, their opinions.. just like our music we will never have a perfect concurrence but it does provide so much to explore.. love it.

forgive me, I indulge.. instead of a 'saturday sleep in' I have an early start awaiting tomorrow to enable me to make a kickoff in Yea (VIC 3717) with my musical soulmate, Dave Miles at the eagerly anticipated xmas farmers market

the music will survive us all for the betterment.. we will give our all., as always, because we all deserve it..

December 12, 1985: Scottish keyboard player Ian Stewart died. Co-founder of The Rolling Stones (Stewart was the first to respond to Brian Jones's advertisement in Jazz News seeking musicians to form a rhythm & blues group). Stewart was dismissed from the line-up by the band's manager, Andrew Loog Oldham, in May 1963 but remained as road manager and piano player. He played on all The Rolling Stones albums between 1964 and 1983. Also played piano on Led Zeppelin's ‘Rock and Roll’ and ‘Boogie With Stu’ from Physical Graffiti.
