Long ago in the land of Hessen-Cassel, lived a young maiden by the name of Dortchen Wild, who dwelt beside the family Grimm. Unbeknownst to many, Dortchen whispered tales, laden with magic and wonder, shared in secret with Wilhelm under the silvery moon's gentle gaze. In tribute, we celebrate the mother of the fairy tale, the enchantress of dreams and the weaver of magic.

Dortchen artfully blends earthy sweetness with rich, buttery bakery notes - resulting in an enchanting and unique blend.

We hope you're all enjoying the cooling weather as we make our way into the cosiest part of the year.

We've been getting quite a few requests for out of season blends, and we have started to feel a little stifled by the seasonal rotation of our range. This has resulted in lots of candles poured and a huge restock of most of our blends! For the foreseeable future we will be less bound by the seasons, rather more in inspiration 😊

It's still well and truly summer here in Brisbane but we are holding on with baited breath for the turning of the season. We have been working in a 4th blend to round out our Autumn offering, we are so excited to share it.

Introducing ✨Equinox - Coconut Milk, Cardamom, Cypress + Tonka Bean. This spicy gourmand blend is a perfect burn for the season. Coconut milk and tonka bean are uplifted by earthy cypress, crushed cardamom and red peppercorns.

Returning will be Sif, Viking Blood + Girraween.

We are down to the last couple of Wild Folks for the season as we start phasing out our summer blends.

We are down to the last of our spring offerings. We have a small amount of The Muse before we say goodbye until next year.

This scent is so beautiful and transitions into summer perfectly. A complex blend of honey, neroli, geranium, lily of the valley, orange blossom, rose, musk and sweet amber.

Tomorrow we'll be introducing Saturnalia (Gingerbread Cookies) + Wild Folk (Chamomile, Bergamot + Forest Moss).

The beautiful fresh Lighthouse will be back for summer. We will also have a final restock of Dortchen Wild, The Muse + Delirium for the year.

Lastly, our seasonal wax melts in Saturday Morning Cartoon will also have a restock.

WILD FOLK - Chamomile, Bergamot and Forest Moss 🌱 Available Tuesday, 21st of November.

Along with our Christmas candle we'll be adding an addition to our Summer Range. Since the weather has started heating up this has been a constant burn in the studio. It's a great light summer blend.

Dedicated to the Wild Folk, or Moss People of Germanic folklore. Embark on a journey through the sun-dappled wilderness with this enchanting light and bright fragrance, a blend that calls forth memories of leisurely summer meanders. An earthy base of sandalwood and forest moss intertwines with a heart of green florals, chamomile and geranium, and a hint of spiced honey. At the top, citrus notes of bergamot and grapefruit zest. Evoking the spirit of balmy sunlit afternoons.

SATURNALIA - Gingerbread Cookies

This blend is a super realistic interpretation of gingerbread, it's simply delicious. It's warm, sweet and reminiscent, a perfect blend for Christmas.

Featuring notes of ginger, maple, brown sugar, vanilla and a melange of spices.

Lilac, Freesia & Amber.

Best described as a warm floral scent. This fragrance blends deep, rich lilac with bright, citrusy freesia & warm, sweet amber. With a touch of peach at the top.

We hope to be able to offer a mix-and-match option at some point, just need to work out the functionality of providing that ability on the website - which is proving more difficult than anticipated!

GIRRAWEEN - Fig, Apple & Fallen Leaves 🍎🍁

An ode to the exquisite Girraween National Park (and its surrounds) in the Granite Belt, South Eastern Queensland. An area known locally for its surreal landscapes and local produce, most notably, apples. This candle is a walk through an autumn-struck forest, leaves crunching between your feet and the granite below.

This fragrance is fruity, earthy and green. A base of fallen leaves meets a heart of pine needle and tree sap. A sprinkling of fruity and fresh notes is added to the top - where you'll find crisp apple, fig, berries and green herbs.

300g, 50+ hour burn time.

VIKING BLOOD - Mead, Cherry & Spices 🍯🍒

Inspired by Viking Blod - a mead (or melomel) recipe that incorporates honey with cherries, hibiscus and spices, turning the colour of the mead a blood red. I was introduced to this stunning drink at a festival in Europe years ago (mead horns and all) and I had to pay hommage to it in a candle. If you enjoy mead and haven't tried it, I encourage you to give it a go!

Notes of honey, tart cherries, blackcurrants w/ star anise, clove, vanilla bean and hints of brown sugar.

SIF - Spiced Pumpkin & Hay 🌾

Dedicated to Sif, the Norse goddess of the harvest and Autumn. This fragrance is a mesmerising balance between sweet, spicy and earthy.

Pumpkin is joined by notes of ginger, warm spices, and caramel. Fresh hay and iris add earthiness to balance out this decadent scent.

Daphnis - Honeysuckle, Cucumber⁠, Lavender & Sage 💐🥒

A wildflower bouquet of honeysuckle and lavender is joined by cucumber and sage, adding crisp clean notes to this stunning fresh scent. The slightest touch of malt at the base rounds out your meander through Daphnis' meadow.

🍃Welcome to a new month🍃 What a magical month January was. We opened our metaphorical doors and were given the opportunity to share our work with some of you. Thanks so much for the support.

I'm currently finalising our 🍁Autumn🍁 offering, we will have three new candle offerings and, I am in love. We are planning to launch them in late Feb/early March and will send an update via newsletter during the month, so if you're interested please sign up via our website.

🌙Selene🌙

From her golden crown the dim air is made to glitter as her rays turn night to noon.

White and purple flowers and those that bloom at night belong to Selene. This fragrance is deep, sweet and floral. A heart of amber is adorned with lilacs and freesia, with a dusting of stonefruit and citrus at the top.
