JKD Racing Australia
JKD Racing is a Victoria, Australia based motorsport race team.
Race 2 this morning was a good result and a few changes to the wheel alignment saw an improvement for race 3. We have a few adjustments to do in the morning and will have a red hot go for Race 4 tomorrow.
Lights out for Race 4 of at 1:05pm Sunday.
Not the start we were looking for, but Jensen has recovered well in today's 2 races.
Looking forward to the next round at Sydney Motorsport Park. The team made some solid gains in Darwin and we'll be looking to build on that when we head north in a few weeks.

We are so proud of Jensen's progress in the V8 Superutes.
Awesome weekend Team, love your work.
Darwin is Done!
That's the last race complete for AIV Racing. The preparation work done at the JKD Racing Australia meant that the car was reliable all weekend and withstood the high on track temps. Very happy with the improvements in finishing positions over the 4 races. The crew will pack the gear and head home tomorrow.
Next round is in Sydney 19 - 21 July.
First day of racing complete with Jensen Engelhardt Racing solid results and a straight car ready for races 3 & 4 tomorrow.
Two races complete today, and we've made up a couple of spots in the intense heat. Overnight the team replaced the CV joint in the drive shaft, and we're pleased the car withstood the conditions.

V8 SuperUte Series
With all the hard work on our own truck prior to the trip to Darwin, it decided it didn't want to make the journey, with an engine part failure 2 days prior to departure.
With some quick phone calls, we were quickly sorted out.
Jensen's sponsors came to the rescue with Hitch Haulage providing one of their trailers and a shipping container for all the team gear. While the great crew at CMV GROUP organised a prime mover for the journey to Darwin.

In preparation for Darwin, we noticed a slight issue with our truck. Hmmmm, better now for head gasket replacement than halfway to Darwin.
Changes work priorities in the workshop slightly, but will be purring away ready for the big trip.

Things didn't go to plan last weekend at Phillip Island in the JKD Racing circuit Excel.
We were a bit slow in practice and qualifying as we were getting used to a new control tyre and coil over so started Race 1 a bit further back in the field than normal. It was a poor start so we were crowded with other cars and unfortunately got launched into the wall before making it to the start line.
The car is a write off but thankfully driver Gavin Newman is fine apart from a few bruises. The driver and car safety equipment did its job and the outcome was a lot better than it could have been.
A sincere thanks to the officials and medical staff who were quickly on scene and thoroughly checked out Gavin and the other drivers, as well as cleaned up the mess that we all made.
The plan is to build another car so we hope to be back on track for the club championship later in the year.

Great day yesterday at Penrite Oil for the livery reveal of the Supercars to be driven by Matt Payne and Richie Stanaway.
Penrite are massive supporters of motorsport in Australia, across a variety of discipline many of which were on display at the open day.

JKD Racing have withdrawn from the V8 Superutes and will no longer be taking part in the events.
Without the right funding we cannot be competitive and therefore we decided to withdraw our entry.
Our last year junior driver Jensen Engelhardt will be competing in his own vehicle under Jensen Engelhardt Racing .
We wish Jensen and his new partners all the best for the 2024 season.
JKD Racing would like to wish all of our followers a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.

Round 4, we shifted all partners to Jensen's V8 SuperUte after the major crash that put Dean out of the remaining rounds.
The Sandown 500 is a major event on the Supercars calendar and perfect for us to sport the new JKD Racing logo and team apparel.
