Subiu hoje a taxa do visto de estudante subclasse 500 para a Austrália.

🔴O governo Australiano aumentou a taxa de visto para o visto de estudante subclasse 500 para AUS$1,600, um aumento de 125% comparado ao valor anterior de AUS$710.

👉🏻 Esse aumento sera refletido em melhorias em todo setor da educação no país (Universidades, VET courses…) tanto para estudantes domésticos como para estudantes internacionais.

🗣 Cursos preparatório de Cambridge 

👉 Para você que ainda não conhece os cursos preparatórios da universidade de Cambridge, eles são cursos de inglês focados em uma prova que avalia o nível de inglês dos estudantes.

Esses exames servem para estudantes internacionais que queiram estudar em uma universidade no exterior como: Estados Unidos 🇺🇸 Canada 🇨🇦 , Inglaterra 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 e Austrália 🇦🇺 e também para oportunidades de emprego, já que muitas empresas multinacionais utilizam desse requisito para empregar seus funcionários.

➡ Os cursos são divididos em 5 níveis e tem duração de 10 a 12 semanas dependendo do período do ano que o estudante for estudar. 🇦🇺Australia - Student Visa (Subclass 500)

Increase in the financial support for international students.

📌From 10 May 2024, the amount of money an international student is required to present to government as part of the visa application requirement has increased.

🔴 International students were required to present the amount of AUS$24,505 annually which has increased to AUS$29,710. That means in an increase of 21% which could prevent many students to study in Australia.

It’s one of many changes in the immigration sector once the country has returned to normal after the Pandemic.

🇦🇺Graduate and Tourist Visa holders

👉🏻 O governo australiano acaba de anunciar mais uma medida para dificultar a vida dos famosos “temporário permanente” estrangeiros no país.

👀 O plano do governo Albanese de acabar com os estrangeiros que estão na Austrália permanentemente em vistos temporários e aumentar o número de imigrantes qualificados acaba de ganhar mais força na semana passada.

📌 A partir de 1 de Julho, portadores dos vistos de Turista (Subclass 600) e Graduado (Subclass 485), deverão sair do país para dar entrada no visto de estudante (subclass 500). Até o momento, muitos dos imigrantes portadores dos vistos citados acima, estavam aplicando para o visto de estudante estando dentro do país para extender suas estadias e assim permanecer permanentemente no país com vistos temporários. 

📊 A meta é reduzir em até 35% o número de “temporário permanente” imigrantes, dando mais espaço para mão de obra qualificada em areas como: tecnologia da informação, saúde (enfermeiras e cuidadoras), creches (educadoras), chefs, construção civil (engenheiros, eletricistas, pedreiros) e outros.

📌 Essa é a forma mais eficaz que o governo australiano projetou para alcançar o que o realmente o país necessita em areas de alta demanda de emprego.

Public transport in Queensland has been slashed to a flat rate of 🔥AUS$0,50.

👏🏻The Premier of Queensland - Steven Miles, has announced that from August 5th, all Translink public transport will adhere to the AUS$0,50 fares in attempt to encourage commuters to leave their cars at home to use public transport (bus, citycat, train, tram). 

👍🏻According to Steven, the initiative will be in place for six months as the Public transport use remains about 13 per cent below pre-COVID levels. Apart from alleviating the road congestion, it will also save a lot of money for Queenslanders and international students who need to commute to work/school everyday.

🔈 How will the Australian Immigration Sector change in 2024?

👉 The Australian Government has just released its new “10 year immigration plan” which has been one of the priorities of the new Prime Minister- Antony Albanese’s mandate.��

👀 Today, Australia has 650.000 immigrants on student visas and most of them have been in the country for half decade or longer without a career path. That results in people with higher education (Masters, PHDs) working as a cleaner or delivery drivers for exemplo, and one of many consequences it is the inflation, which is 5.4%, one of the highest in 2023.

🔎 In order to keep genuine international students coming into the country, the Australian government has made changes in its immigration system, such as:

📌 Student Visa Subclass 500 – Increase English language level required for vocacional courses (VET) - from 5,5 to 6 for IELTS or equivalent test to improve the quality of students’ educational experience in Australia. GTE letter must prove the authenticity of the students’ intention to study and their career path.

📌 Graduate Visa Subclass 485 (Masters, PHD…) – up to 35 years of age to be eligible. Increase in the English level required - from 6 to 6,5 for IELTS or equivalent test. No possibility of returning to the Student Visa.

📌 Work Visas – Still need a sponsor (employer), but no need for long contracts which facilitates for the worker to move to other companies. Also, the worker will have a longer period of 2 months between jobs to work in any industry.

🗣 Mudanças no setor imigratório da Australia

👍 O governo australiano anúncio que a partir do último dia 25 de Novembro houveram mudanças no setor de imigração do país para certos vistos, em especial, o visto subclasse 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage).

🟢 Todos os trabalhadores no visto subclasse 482 (alguns dos inúmeros vistos de trabalho), agora terá uma caminho direto para a residência permanente, no qual era impossível até então.

🟢 Essa caminho aconteça através do visto de residência permanente subclasse 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme), onde os trabalhadores poderão aplicar ou serem nomeados pela empresa indiferente da lista de ocupação que eles estejam para a residência. Lembrando que precisa-se cumprir todos os requerimentos exigidos para a aplicação do visto. E para facilitar ainda mais essa transição, o tempo mínimo de trabalho exigido no mesmo cargo diminuiu de 3 para 2 anos.

📌 Outras duas mudanças realizadas no setor no começo desse ano fiscal (Jul/23), foram:

☑️ A volta da validação profissional, ou Skills Assessment com é mais conhecido, para graduados que queiram aplicar para o visto subclasse 485 (Temporary Graduate Visa - Graduate Work Stream) para ocupações na lista de médio à longo prazo.

☑️ Estudantes internacionais agora estão permitidos a trabalhar 48 horas quinzenas ao invés de 40.
