‘Difficult decision’: Melbourne icon banned Horse-drawn carriages will be banned from the busy Melbourne CBD from next month.

Don't support this cruelty. Better still, adopt a companion animal from an animal shelter or rescue.

He can hardly breathe.

He has been intentionally bred for a specific appearance that will cause him to suffer. This morning the Government objected to my motion to outlaw breeding animals with specific appearances that will cause them a lifetime of suffering. So essentially people can continue to breed animals that will suffer as long as someone is making money out of it.

We won’t give in - our fight on this has only just begun.

Brachycephalic dogs face life-threatening medical conditions and suffer from breathing difficulties, insomnia, digestion, spine and eye issues.

Until we outlaw this - don’t buy into cruelty.

Thanks for the hard work by Andy Meddick MP to get this banned. People from all over the world reached out wanting this practice gone.

Hello everyone,

I’m Rabin Bangaar, and I’m proud to stand as your Candidate for the seat of Cooper in the upcoming Federal Election.

I believe that true justice can only be achieved when it embraces all creatures. For too long, humans have seen themselves as deserving of the comforts and freedoms which they deny to animals.

I have worked for many years to change this attitude and to make meaningful change to the way we consider and treat all species.

As a candidate, I am committed to representing the Animal Justice Party’s core values of kindness and rationality by promoting policies which will profoundly improve the rights of all animals both here and globally.

I am an active and passionate opponent of live export in any form, and will work hard to ban the cruelty of 1080 poison, the increasing encroachment of humans into animal habitats and the destruction of precious bush land and waterways.

I truly believe we can do better for animals and for the whole planet. And we must do better right now.
