FAQ - changes over time to the compression-to-breath ratio. Based on research and evidence over the years, the CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) guidelines have evolved over time. The ratio I first used on the scene in the 70s in Victoria was 5 compressions to 1 breath, which has been updated to the current ratio of 30 compressions to 2 breaths. This change occurred gradually over the years as studies showed that continuous chest compressions are more effective in maintaining blood flow to vital organs during CPR. The American Heart Association (AHA) made this update in their guidelines only in 2005, and it has been widely adopted since then.

It's essential for electricians to stay informed and continuously improve their skills to remain competitive and ensure the highest level of safety and service for their clients.

Received this feedback from a client today. This is why we love doing what we do.

Kate:

The organisation I regularly volunteer with recently had a Certificate First Aid Course conducted in house. I was invited to participate and, as I had not done a First Aid course for a long time I needed to update knowledge and skills accepted the invitation. Although as a senior member of the community, I was anxious about my ability to follow the course and retain the information. I was pleasantly surprised and found the information presented and procedures demonstrated were very informative and easy to follow. Presenter, Peter Bickerton, was very responsive to questions and readily assisted when needed in a supportive and non-critical manner.
