Lior and Domini deliver intimate storytelling and vocal harmonies
Animal in Hiding is the first release from a collaboration between one of Australia’s most established and critically acclaimed singer/songwriters Lior, together with exciting emerging artist Domini Forster. The pair have a creative partnership developed over six years touring together.
Animal in Hiding features songs that are rooted in intimate storytelling. Underpinned by intricate guitar, Lior and Domini’s close vocal harmonies are the focal point of the songs harking back to the iconic folk duos of the 60s.
Friday 21 October, 7.30pm to 8.40pm at Kyneton Town Hall.

Jude Perl has established herself as a comedian/musician/artist who presents ‘hilarious and painfully spot-on observations’ (Plus Ones) mixed with ‘insanely clever and comical song writing’ (Melbourne Observer).
She has won 3 consecutive Green Room Awards for Best Original Songs, and her 5th solo show ‘I Have A Face' won the Best Cabaret award at Melbourne Fringe 2018.
Jude presents her new show, Participation Award with her signature high-energy, high-awkward musical story-telling, exploring confrontation through the ages, (her ages).
Thursday 10 November, 8pm-9pm at Kyneton Town Hall.
Suitable for age's 16+, themes around bullying, some coarse language, mental health themes (anxiety/depression), sustained loud noises, sudden loud noises.

Mountain Writers Festival presents an epic line-up
The inaugural Mountain Writers Festival will be hosted in Macedon. It will be the first Australian writers' festival to focus exclusively on the environment—the most important topic of our times.
Join a local bush walk, enjoy an evening of wine, books and authors, be part of a play reading, and finish the weekend at a gala event with comedian Tom Gleeson on how to solve the world in 90 minutes.
Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November, events held at Jubilee Hall, Macedon and the Macedon Railway Hotel.

Come build connections through music, workshops, demonstrations and kids zone.
Cultural activities, live music with Pierce Brothers and Amos Roach, workshops on breath work and demonstrations on hip hop dance or sustainable living, receive a massage or tarot reading, peruse the markets, or bring the kids to the children's village.

The much loved celebration of Macedon Ranges wine and hospitality returns for 2022.
Early bird tickets will be available from 19 September, and tickets for the Hoppa buses will open on 1 October.

Weddings galore. Yes during the lovely summer and autumn, along with a little more confidence in the current environment, we have been booked on numerous times.

There are many towns that have their avenues of honour. In the Macedon Ranges beneath a possible cold, grey sky, Woodend has 224 oaks standing tall and strong. The branches hang over the road that runs beneath, providing endless beauty for anyone driving or walking under them.
These oak trees are the very representation of the 224 people from the Woodend area who enlisted as soldiers in World War 1.Like all soldiers they fought for our freedom and protection. Now all these men and women are remembered for the sacrifices they made and we are telling them that they are loved and respected.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. Lest We Forget.
A visit to the Macedon Ranges should include not only the Cross on Mount Macedon but the Honour of Avenue in Woodend.
It may have been overcast this weekend but there was still plenty to do with markets on all over the area.
