A truly special day honoring mothers - queens of the home. We started with most of our church family gathering for morning tea which included cutting of this magnificent cake by 3 generations, followed by a wonderful worship led by our young people singing praises and reading messages of encouragement for Mums.

This week: (May 11) a special day honoring mothers, the queen of the home. 9:30 Cafe style Sabbath School, all ages combined in the hall.
11:00 Service in the church with children leading our worship.

Adventurer's are up and running in Albany, thanks to Jess and team. This week's great constructions - well done kids!

Come and join together for a time of Praise and Worship this Sabbath afternoon from 2-3pm. All welcome.

Things to do from 9:30 right through to 12:00, the 2nd Sabbath of each month (except for January).

Join us for Kid's Church this week where we can spend time singing, crafting and learning more about God. This month is all about Easter. Each month there is a Lego challenge and last month the kids really excelled at their hearts.

The Great Southern Regional was great! Thank you to WA conference workers and South Pacific Division President (pictured here with local pastor, David de Klerk) for travelling to Albany and sharing in our worship today. May we all go home recognizing how God has blessed us and be inspired to be a blessing to others.

Albany Mens Camp is truly a time of relaxing and sharing with brothers. Good food, too many laughs and a wonderful message by Ross Grant Craig. The blessing of Godly men in a family is sometimes underrated

Where we wrote nice things about each other following Christs example of his red letters in the bible to affirm and uplift each other. It’s what families do. It’s what Albany Family Church does.

Welcome to Ten Days of Prayer 2024! 🙏 We believe prayer is the birthplace of revival. God has worked so many miracles in past years as we have sought Him together in prayer and fasting. 🕊️ The Holy Spirit has brought about conversions, renewed passion for evangelism, revived churches, and healed relationships.

Has God’s voice been calling you to revival? 📖The Bible is full of promises for you:

🔥“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
🔥“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
🔥“And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Joel 2:32).
🔥“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
🔥“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).

Wherever you are in life right now, God is closer than you think. He wants to pour out His blessings on your family, your church, your community, and your world.🙌

Imagine if you were walking along the beach with Jesus, what would you ask Him, but even more important what would He ask you?

Just wanted to let everyone know that our Social planned for 16th of December has been cancelled. If you would still like to give, please use the envelope Emily gave out to choose the way in which you would like to extend some love and joy in this season!

And don’t forget Carols in the Cove is also on that night and many of our church family will be there.

For those who have family down, we all hope it’s a special time and want reports on all the grandkids please! Even the ones who aren’t your favourite😉

Oh boy family feasts are noisy!

I learned tonight that eating as a family gives us the opportunity to serve. Gonna pour some delicious grape juice for yourself? Well it’s not too difficult to just go around pour for everyone else at the table as well. Need someone to hold the dish while it’s hot for dishing up? Might as well just carry on holding it and going around the table. It makes sense and seems natural. Almost as though that’s the way we are lovingly made 😉

We are made for service. I’m now a little bit more sure of that because I shared a delicious meal with my church family.

This loving, serving and NOISY church family. 🤣

CUPCAKES!

Jess Gould has got some serious cupcake credentials. Just the right amount of uneasiness about all the sugar but not enough guilt to prevent another. The literal sweet spot😉. This was one of our most anticipated Week of Prayer nights and none of us are disappointed.
Jess also stepped up like a true PK and delivered some great thoughts about the service of Tabitha. Well done Jess and thanks to all her helpers as well!

Tomorrow night is going to be awesome! Come and have a meal exactly prepared as it would have been in Jewish homes. Starting a little earlier , this is one supper you don’t want to miss.

Day 4- the lost art of card making.

Loretta dug deep into her craft cabin and presented us with the opportunity to make some seriously cool cards tonight following the story of the woman at the well.
It was like looking at a colourful mini printing press producing the most beautiful cards all ready to be sent out to the person you love for Christmas (and want to make feel the most guilty for not sending you one).

Albany Church family bowling night is on Saturday night, 18th of June at 6pm. Last time was a men's night, this time we are inviting the whole church. Let Vern or Pr Geoff know if you're coming. Last time was heaps of fun so hoping for another good turn out.
