Today, I want to share a little story with you about the gap and the gain in business. This concept has been a game-changer for me, and I believe it can be for you too.

When I first started my business and decided to apply for a high-level Mastermind just 1 year in, I was hyper-focused on the gap:

Early in my business, I thought my personal experience and qualifications alone would attract dream clients.

When was the last time you paused and asked yourself how you define success?

I hear this so frequently in my mentoring and even healing space “I want to be successful” so I always ask the question - how do YOU define success? - How will you know when you get there? 

This stumps most of these women.

They have been striving for an ILLUSION of success, a word without any clear pathway or measure to know when they’ve made it. 

One beautiful client comes to mind in particular as I share this with you.

She had been struggling with self-doubt and anxiety in both her life and business. When asked what success meant to her, she paused, reflected and then responded: “Ease and inner peace”.

So the action steps she was taking toward “success” were actually NOT her idea of success and completely mis-aligned with what she truly desired to experience in her business.

She was making decisions based on what she thought she ‘should’ be striving for and ‘should’ be doing. Based on milestones that were rewarded in her past corporate world. 

❌None of this felt ease or peaceful for her. It was time for a shift. Time to embody the identity of the woman who creates her business with ease and peace. She is a different identity to the woman creating a business of hard hustle, long hours and goals that don’t align with her values because that’s what she knows to be the way.
