Hmmmm.... industry super funds...?
Perhaps they’re not all they’re cracked up to be...?
'Despicable ME': The boutique bank raiding accounts linked to home loans Members Equity Bank, which is owned by 26 industry funds, has been plundering without warning customer money linked to home loans.
COVID-19 LOCKDOWN STORY GUIDELINES | Karlana Kasarik I invite school students aged 5-18-years-old, from anywhere in the world, to write a short story, fiction or non-fiction, with some reference to the current health situation we all are in with a view to publish some of the stories, with profits donated to charity.
Life has changed for us all, but this too shall pass. Someday soon we'll be ready to roam again and spend the days wandering through dappled pathways 🌟
Such a tragedy...
A tragic day for Victoria Police with the loss of four officers. Thinking of their family and friends - so heartbreaking.
Melbournes laneway art has long been a source of inspiration for many of us, but this one is something really special.
Health workers, we appreciate you and know it’s all of you who are holding up our world right now.
Maybe it’s just me...? But I laughed hysterically at this🤣🤣🤣
I don't usually like dealing in hypotheticals.
But this one's important – because it's where we were heading just a few weeks ago.
This morning Victoria's Chief Health Officer released coronavirus modelling for our state.
These projections tell us that without physical distancing, Victoria could be facing up to 58,000 new cases a day during the peak of the virus.
10,000 people would need ICU beds. 7,000 would need ventilators.
And 650 Victorians would die. Every day.
I want to reinforce how serious this is.
Because I know some people are getting frustrated. It's difficult not being able to do the things you enjoy.
But if we all started ignoring the advice – I can assure you Victoria would become a very different place.
And no game of golf or fishing trip is worth it. It's just not.
The restrictions we have in place are working.
The data shows us that.
And the experience of other countries shows that lifting restrictions too quickly throws away all that hard work.
So our message remains the same:
Stay home. Protect our health system. Save lives.

18. 🐰🐣Hey Easter bunnies, did you know that you can collect the aluminium wrapping from your Easter eggs, scrunch them into one ball then pop it into your council kerbside recycling bin?
Want to go further and reduce even that waste? Then you can make your own chocolate eggs or naturally dye your hard boiled eggs. Alternatively you can try our kids Easter activity for last year which was toothpick pricking a message and/or an image onto a feijoa. Remember to eat it soon after though so it doesn’t go to waste. The perfect seasonal egg shaped fruit that’s delicious too!
DM us with your email and we can send instructions for feijoa decoration and naturally dyeing eggs! Fun! 🥚🌈

Heads up: it’s OK if you feel scared, and sad, and angry and overwhelmed right now. It’s normal. And it’s OK to just accept how you actually feel.⠀
⠀
I’ll be honest: sometimes I get overwhelmed and frustrated about the fire, or my injuries, or what I’ve been through. ⠀
⠀
But you know what I DON’T do when I feel like crying about what I’ve been through?⠀
⠀
I don’t say to myself "Get over it Turia, it happened almost a decade ago. You should be over this by now."⠀
⠀
I don’t say "Oh here you go again, crying like an idiot."⠀
⠀
I talk to myself like I would talk to Michael or my sons or my Mum.⠀
⠀
I say: "I know, mate. What you’ve been through was really bloody hard and upsetting, and you’re allowed to cry."⠀
⠀
And because I’ve allowed myself to sit in that feeling of frustration and anger and disappointment and hurt, those feelings dissipate quicker than if I had denied them. ⠀
⠀
So, today, please don’t judge yourself for feeling a negative emotion. Allow the emotion to happen and be kind to yourself while it does. ⠀
⠀
Say to yourself "Yeah, you’re right, this is really overwhelming. It’s perfectly understandable that you feel scared about the future. That’s OK."⠀
⠀
Say to yourself "But whatever happens, I have the inner resources to deal with any situation that comes my way. I’m going to be OK."⠀
⠀
Remember, you can always come back to any of the happy missions I’ve shared over the past few weeks to help change how you feel. You can do the breathing exercise to calm yourself down, you can practise saying "right now" to overcome panicked thoughts, you can have a cold shower to help re-boost your energy and shift your perspective, you can write someone a gratitude note or you could do something that makes you feel good.⠀
⠀
Use these tips to help you feel a little bit happier.⠀
⠀
But just know that being human means experiencing a full spectrum of emotion.⠀
⠀
And if you feel a bit sad, or like you "should just be getting on with it already" and you’re not – well, my friend, that is perfectly okay.⠀
⠀
Be kind to yourself.⠀
