Built in the 70's - Black Diamond worked on the Burragah Recreation Centre in Tea Tree Gully 😎

This was a tough one, but nothing is ever to tough for the team at Black Diamond 💎
The old basketball court was made out of granwood, a serious job to grind back since it's half wood / half concrete. But we made it happen with absolutely no dramas!

Our team began the refurbishment by grinding through 15 layers (there's so many as they kept re-coating over the years) of polyurethane and line markings on the basketball court. We then patched everything and prepped it for a new polyurethane coating and brand new line markings. With no issues on site, this job was nothin' but net 🏀💯

We're looking for a hard working young lad to join our team as an apprentice. Overall previous experience on trade tools and job sites is greatly appreciated but not necessary. We understand what we do is a niche and are dedicated to moulding the successful candidates skillset.
This will start as a basic role 5 days a week and as experience grows we would love to see the successful candidate work with us in a full time role in the company!

Another successful project in by the team. We spent the week in one of our favourite Eastern suburbs - Newton. Working on a warehouse project at its humble beginnings.

We want to open up on our process from start to finish. Read below 👇🏽

We worked the floor with a 30 # diamond and a 70 # diamond to scratch/key the floor so that the products/coatings bond and stick. ✨

Following this we primed the floor and applied two coats of 100 percent solid epoxy. A focus on this job was the drains, where we had to jackhammer excess concrete, patch the holes then we gave it two coats of waterproof to make a membrane for the all the water followed by a coat of grey epoxy to finish!

This warehouse is home to Hand Of Stone. A local business that manufacture man made and natural stone into bench tops! 💎
All the water and slurry from their work shop will go into the drains then into a cylo, the water then gets recycled and they re-use it!
