This afternoon at the wonderful Turners Beach Berry Patch!

TSB are looking forward to our special guests Halfway to Forth kicking off our Launch Party from 5.30pm at Turners Beach Berry Patch next Friday March 24. What a treat! These brothers are awesome! Don't miss this one! Gates open at 5pm. Book a table or bring your rug!
Bio:
Halfway to Forth are brothers Dan & Kyle Lizotte. If you head up past the old steam railway, over the river and round the bend you’ll arrive at their family home, about halfway along the road to a little town called Forth on the NW coast of Tasmania, Australia.
Their music is honest and rootsy, with folk, country and blues shades. These boys attend both schools, Old and New, and stick to writing what they know. You’ll hear more than a little foot stompin’, banjo pluckin’ and bottle neck slidin’. People have said their voices blend well…
In 2009 they self produced and released a 7 track EP “Treasure for Memories”. In 2012 they found an old Chapel to rent cheap on a hill in Cudlee Creek, South Australia. The gracious caretaker let them turn the church into their recording studio (as long as they cleaned up before Sunday morning) and over the following months their debut album “Run for the Hills” was dreamt up and recorded in the wee hours of the morning. If you listen closely you can hear the pews creaking and the coffee urn clicking... It was spooky at times…
They launched “Run for the Hills” to a home crowd at Red Hot Music in Devonport, breaking ticket sales records, receiving a standing ovation and playing two encores.
Halfway to Forth like to get out on the road and have played music festivals all over the country, including Byron Bay Blues Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival, but since starting families the brothers are enjoying focusing on a Tasmanian audience once again. They are finding the local music scene vibrant and flourishing, with eager crowds and venues keen to book Tasmanian talent.

Don River Yurt Co.

So our little family business down here in Devonport, Tasmania has been robbed! Please share the post to as many as you can.
Much Appreciated!

Some bad news for Don River Yurt Co this weekend, We've been robbed!
Connor arrived at our newly acquired workshop on Hillcrest Road, Devonport, on Saturday morning to find the door ajar and not a tool left in sight. The thieves took all of the tools and equipment we were using to build our next yurt.
As a small family run business, losing all of our equipment is a major setback and... it really hurts.
The robbery occurred sometime between Tuesday, 25th of April and Saturday, 29th of April. We have our fingers and toes crossed that the Police manage to recover our property but we thought we may as well try and get the word out in case some of our equipment starts popping up for sale.

Here is a list of the items that were taken.
Ryobi Mitre Saw
Makita 18v Circular Saw
Makita 18v Driver Drill
Makita 18v Brushless Impact Driver Drill

If you or anyone you know hears anything about the tools or robbery, please get in touch.
If you could share this post it would be greatly appreciated, as the more people who see it, the more chance something might turn up!
Kind Regards Don River Yurt Co.
