This is my first time ever growing a moustache in my life! I grew it in support of Movember because I have lost loved ones to cancer and su***de, and know of many who have suffered from depression in silence. Next year I will grow another moustache and generate funds towards helping our brothers who are suffering. You are never alone in your battles! 🤜🏽🤛🏽💙

Our precious little man was born 5th of August 2019 on a Monday night at 10:41pm. Life has a deeper meaning now. My purpose is more than me. My business is more than making money. This is my time to pave the way for my son and our family towards success. I am glad that my son will witness first hand the growth that I will go through, as well as the growth of this business!

~COME WHAT MAY AND LOVE IT.~
A daunting feeling i have had being pregnant is how much would worry about having things ready before our first unborn child arrives. i kept telling myself "we need to get this ready! we need to get that ready! we need our house before family come to see baby, we need to have money saved before he comes..." i even had moments where i would talk to my son and ask him "can you please stay in there for a little longer, just so we can have everything ready for you". Throughout my time or worries and longing to postpone what was totally out of my control, i had my 32 weeks scan, all that came to me was "everything will be okay", i felt so selfish in thinking of what i thought was best and when would be best for our son to arrive, forgetting the precious and beautiful journey we are on in simply welcoming him lovingly. A lot of the time we tend to want things on our time that are completely out of out control, but in remembering the journey we are on to happiness, we must believe that everything will be okay.
There will always be challenges on the way, but endure and enjoy those challenges. "Come what may and love it".

~MAKING THE MOVE~

On New Years day of 2019 my husband and I spent a good couple of days with my brother in law and his family in a small beautiful town called Bairnsdale, Victoria. For just the brief amount of time we were there, we had a good feeling about the place with open space where it felt stress free. My husband asked me a couple of days later “how would you feel moving to Bairnsdale” and though it was such a beautiful place to be in, never had it crossed my mind on seeing myself living there, I thought about it and reflected on what I would be leaving behind. Of course all the things I was most comfortable with came to mind, like “my family is here and I wouldn’t know anyone in Bairnsdale; moving at this time means we will be starting over with baby on the way and we don’t have the money for that; I’m comfortable where I am and I don’t want to go anywhere” the list goes on with the feelings I had of moving, I kept denying the great feeling my husband and I had felt because I was afraid and comfortable with where I was. We packed our stuff in a small car and went on our way to Bairnsdale, I told my husband “if something happens on the way that means we have to stay” and he kept to his word that we will make it, we came to a stop where the police pulled us over and gave us a fine for our car being unregistered, at this point I cried and gave up told my husband to turn back and go home, he looked at me and held my hand, picked up the phone and called his sister, ac couple of minutes later we were free to get back on the road and continue our journey, as prideful and stubborn as I was that day I was truly grateful towards the Lord, my Husband and his sister that whatever happened on our journey towards our destination didn’t matter anymore because we were lead by that feeling we had and I knew that feeling was real and that we were taken care of. Since being in Bairnsdale we have been blessed with the family and people we have met who have welcomed us lovingly. Reflecting back to this experience, there was so many lessons learnt: reminded me that when we feel prompted to do something we shouldn’t give up (trusting that it will happen) ;Trust that you are not alone; Growth happens out of the comfort zone; Come what may and love it; Enjoy and Trust the journey you’re on!

A failure is the opportunity to learn how to grow and do better the next time. This is how we progress towards our best selves and success. The loss comes when one quits and never tries again.

This new business adventure has come with so many learning curves where we’ve had to reflect in order to solidify our business foundation.

Today I was reading my book about finding my true why and developing success habits. I was doing this to really hone in on my reasons for starting our online business. During my reading I began reflecting, and I thought back to my relationship with my wife while we were dating and just being ‘young lovers’. 📖🧐💙

We were in a long distance relationship where she lived in Sydney and I lived in Melbourne. Our dating phase was some of the happiest moments of our relationship, compared to some of the storms we’ve faced since being married, although I am still grateful for them cos it has strengthened us as a couple. But I had to ask myself, “why were we feeling happier before our marriage than we are in some moments now after being married?” Especially considering that we didn’t live near each other. 💑💻💞

For me, it all came down to this simple fact…

When we were dating we were far more concerned and focused on each other.
Nothing else was a major concern other than each others well being and happiness.💖

Now that we’re married and living together, it’s not just the fact that we’re learning more about each other, but the fact that we’re allowing all the other concerns of life to get in the way of our love and concern for each other. 😫

Coming back to my “why” with starting our business. Above everything else we can attain through this journey towards financial and time freedom, is finally having the freedom to focus more on each other again. I hate arguing and fighting the person I love as much as everyone else does, and so less time arguing means more time doing what we love. And like Tori Kelly sings, “got that young love even when we’re old” (Tori Kelly - Dear No One). Not allowing our love to age and fade, but to bring back the feels of our first moments and having them relived every day. 😍🤑🎶🙌💯

What needs to happen in your life before you decide to make a change?

I have heard too many people wish they had done something different earlier because now they feel like it’s too late. This isn’t true! They’re focused on what they didn’t do, rather than what they can do now. The future is a blank canvas waiting for us to create our own masterpiece.

Perspective is everything!

This is a photo from when I graduated High School. I was excited for my future! If you were to ask me what I wanted to do, I would’ve told you I was gonna go university to either become an engineer, or a doctor. These were the only two options that I was fixed on in order to prepare myself to be a successful husband, father, provider and protector to my future wife and our family. This was my perspective of what my successful life needed to look like.

Fast forward to last year when I got married, I had a total shift on my views of what I wanted to do. I no longer wanted to live a life where I worked every day up to the age of 65 when I finally retired to live my life. This is what the every day work life of the 9-5 looked like to me…

- putting work before time with my wife in her pregnancy.

- putting work before seeing my children grow and take their first steps or say their first words.

- putting work before time with family during funerals or special occasions.

- only having a holiday once a year max, or in the case of my upbringing, hardly ever.

- putting my responsibilities as a husband and father secondary to the demands of work, only to allow these precious moments to happen while I am working and missing out on what matters most in life. FAMILY!

All these precious moments of the heart missed and challenges occurred because of work! It’s a life of going to work while my heart and mind is still constantly where I want to be, and that’s with the ones I love.

There had to be a way where I was going to be able to witness and experience all of these precious moments of life and still provide for the security and safety of my family’s financial needs.

I have encountered amazing people who have made it to this point in their lives of living in abundance in a short period of time. They hustled and worked hard for a year or two, for what most of us are potentially working towards for the next 30-40 years of our lives.

I admire these amazing people and aspire to follow the footsteps of successful people to find success for me and my family! I look forward to the day where I can look back at our journey to freedom and be grateful for all the challenges and hardships that happened. Because they need to happen if I really want to have both financial and time freedom for my family and our future. My happiness is within the powers of my own hands.

We are all the authors of our own stories, so we need to stop putting the pen in somebody else’s hands.

My perspective on success comes down to this. Choose your love and love your choice. I love my wife and my family! And I know that I will love my life being with the ones I have chosen to love!

That is freedom!
That is success!
And this is our journey!
