Donna choose both the lace & satin fabrics from .k.fabrics & decided on a tailored pencil skirt with an asymmetrical flowy satin top.

Beautiful Neve .hays at her recent school formal.

Neve chose a beautiful sage green satin from .k.fabrics for her bias cut satin gown. The formal gown has a fitted plunge v neck, tied with lovely long ties trailing down the back.

This is Vanessa with her Sister, Nieces & Mum on her wedding day at Meningie a few weeks ago.

Marrying her childhood classmate on the shores of Lake Albert.

Vanessa’s chose an ivory corded lace bodice closing at the back with a pretty row of pearl buttons. The dress has a heavy satin skirt finished with a bow at the back & diamonte embellishment at the waist.

I also made the ivory flower girls dress which has a delicate patterned lace bodice & organza overlay skirt finished with a bow at the back.

Bridesmaids dresses alterations included hemming & refitting one bodice. Also some alterations to Mother of the bride Sandy outfit.

I decided on the colour first, sky blue. My favourite style is classic 1960s , Audrey Hepburn & Princess Grace have been my style icons for as long as I can remember.

Boat neck, princess seams & a 1/2 circle skirt that hangs & moves beautifully. My dress is a sky blue, petite floral lace over satin. I searched high & low for months to find the perfect lace, I had a very specific idea in mind once I’d made my design.

I wanted to accessorise with black & diamantés, so a wide black velvet ribbon belt to which I added the diamonte motif worked perfectly.

It was the most wonderful wedding 💖

Chloe’s dress is a polished cotton fabric from
(I’ve had the fabric for a while, so it’s possibly sold out now).

The fabric has a beautiful sheen, a delicate floral design on a perfect shade of rose gold background.

Chloe choose a 4 tier design skirt with a fitted structured corset bodice, tied at the back with a cute bow.

Searching through my camera roll & I found this beautiful photo of Veronica’s final bridesmaid dress fitting in Dec 2020.

The dress has 3/4 sleeve, V back bodice in stunning corded floral lace design. Hunter green tulle over satin skirt finished with a bow at the back.

I’ve been dressmaking from the age of 7, which was as soon as I was old enough to safely use a sewing machine.
I had THE best dressed Barbies!

Jacky Ayres Designs started 23 years ago. I have continued to love creating dresses & every stage of the process from inspiration, drawing, sourcing fabrics, creating a toile, fittings, through to a beautiful custom made outfit.
