For me, the link between trails (in all their forms) and positive impact tourism is easy to make! So many opportunities arise from trails, pathways and the like. The coastal pathway on the NW coast of Tasmania is a welcome addition to the region!

🤩 SHARED COASTAL PATHWAY UPDATE 🤩

We are excited to announce that the section between Leith and Don Heads is complete and officially OPEN to all users!

Over the last few weeks the section between Leith and Don Heads remained closed to allow final safety features to be installed. We appreciate everyone's patience whilst fencing etc has been installed.

How will you be enjoying the new pathway this weekend? 👩‍🦽 🚴🐾🚶‍♂️

CCA is looking forward to celebrating this milestone next month at the official opening ceremony when we will thank all stakeholders and contributors to this fantastic project.

Have you heard of GLOU Sustainable Wine Dispensary?

A sustainably and ethically focused wine bar and shop, Glou is a hospitality business doing good.

With a focus on the circular economy and sustainability advocacy, Glou sources "minimal intervention" wines and cuts out single-use vessels by delivering wine direct from the winemaker's barrel to the consumer - either through a subscription model with refillable bottles or served from lightweight KeyKegs in their funky Wine Bar in Collingwood, Melbourne.

Minimal waste, reduced emissions due to less transport weight, and lower prices as a result.

At The Travel Better Project we celebrate examples of positive impact tourism and related businesses doing good!

Did you know that more than half of travellers under the age of 44 say they are likely to choose one company over another based on a better sustainability record?

Further, nearly 40% say they are willing to pay more for travel choices with businesses that have a positive social and environmental impact (ABTA, 2022).

Want to know how your travel business can apply positive impact principles? The Travel Better Project has a guidebook and toolkit due for release before the end of 2023. Subscribe to our newsletter at travelbetter.com.au so you don't miss out!

Home – Soap Aid 10/11/2023

Have you heard about Soap Aid? This is one truly incredible social enterprise that accommodation-based tourism operators could consider partnering with.

For accommodation providers registered as "Hotel Champions", Soap Aid collects your discarded bars of soap and reprocesses them into fresh, hygienic bars of soap that are distributed to communities in need.

Less waste, fewer emissions in processing, great social impact via improved sanitation outcomes in communities.

Home – Soap Aid We’re improving health outcomes and supporting hygiene initiatives in Australian indigenous communities and throughout the world.
