Rule of Thumb...the less ingredients the better

Here are six ways to extend the life of your spray tan:⁣​​​​​​​​
⁣​​​​​​​​
Preparation: Gently exfoliate for a few days before removing old, dead skin cells. Aggressive exfoliation can harm your skin's acid mantle, which protects by keeping free radicals and bacteria at bay while retaining moisture. After each shower, apply a rich, nourishing moisturiser, but stop using it two days before your spray tan, as it may create a barrier between your skin and the tan.⁣​​​​​​​​

Moisturise: Look for oil-free hydrating moisturisers with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, coconut oil, shea butter, and jojoba esters that will nourish your skin.⁣​​​​​​​​
⁣​​​​​​​​
Showers in cooler water: Showering in boiling water can strip the skin of its natural oils, causing it to dry out. And, as we all know, a flaky tan equals dry skin. Reduce the temperature of your shower to help your tan last longer.⁣​​​​​​​​
⁣​​​​​​​​
Hydrate: Drinking water can help your tan last longer. Water keeps the skin supple, healthy, and, most importantly, hydrated.⁣​​​​​​​​
⁣​​​​​​​​
Avoid products containing alcohol: because they will remove the colour from your tan. Read the ingredient lists on your products; if it says "alcohol" of some kind, there's an 80% chance it's not good for you. Perfumes can also contribute to this. We advise against spraying directly on your skin.⁣​​​​​​​​
⁣​​​​​​​​
Wear SPF: If you burn, your skin will peel, and once you start peeling, you can kiss your sun-kissed glow goodbye. Avoid SPFs that are very oily; there are several great spray tan-friendly ones on the market.⁣
