This comes straight from our heart. It's not just a story of these four women, but about judgements that many of women face in society day in & day out about ‘body shaming’.

'Buffalo', 'Bear', 'Fatty' etc - growing up have seen so many people use these words so casually without thinking that some of these are just driven by underlying health conditions.

Would love to know if you have been judged because of an underlying health condition or if the message resonated with you! We are here to support.

‘Judgement or Kindness’ - the choice is ours.

Influencers will soon be banned from doing paid testimonials for skin and healthcare products, amid a crackdown by Australia’s medicine regulator.

Amendments to the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code will make it illegal for an influencer to receive cash or samples in exchange for reviews about skin and healthcare products, such as sunscreens, protein powders, vitamins, supplements, acne skincare, medicines and skin lightening products.

Under the rules, anyone who receives “valuable consideration” — including non-monetary items such as services, gifts, opportunities or any other incentive — for their testimonial is taken to be a person who is involved with the production, sale, supply or marketing of the goods, hence falling under the rules.

Critics suggest the new code, which comes into play from July 1, will not only impact content creators, but wellness and healthcare businesses reliant on influencer marketing.

DULLA BHATTI |The Real Story | Punjabi Folklore Told by Saba Pervaiz Kiyani | 15/01/2022

Lohri is an annual celebration of the arrival of longer days after the winter solstice in the month of Pauh and is generally celebrated on 13th January. Lohri celebrates the harvest of the Indian Rabi crops (wheat, barley, oats, tomatoes, beets, cabbage, alfalfa, garlic, onions, cumin, coriander, fennel, linseed, sunflower, amaranth, cauliflower, mustard etc). It is also a folk reverence for the fire goddess celebrated with a bonfire, which is a part of its tradition.

Lohri is linked to the tale of Dulla Bhatti who lived in Punjab during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar, a hero of Punjab for rescuing Hindu & Sikh girls from being forcibly taken & trafficked as slaves in Middle East markets. Amongst the girls saved were Sundri and Mundri, both of whom have become a theme of Punjab folklore as well as a popular folk song. Traditionally, Lohri is marked by eating sheaves of roasted corn, sugarcane products like jaggery, peanuts, till (sesame) and must have Sarson da saag (spinach) & Maki di roti (maize bread). Music and dance are an integral part of the festival, with people donning colourful clothes and dancing to bhangra and gidda around the bonfire.
Lohri comes from the word ‘loh’, which means the light and the warmness of fire 🔥

As we say goodbye to 2021 & welcome 2022, let’s just count the blessings seen and unseen and do healing prayers for the beloved souls, friends and families who left us and moved on to a new journey. Let’s hold our hands together and pray together for the world peace in these challenging times by being grateful and show our gratitude for the good times.

Indian Panchang (calendar), has a specific name for each year. And of-course the name has a meaning. There are 60 names for all the Samvatsars (years) and each name replays after 60 years. Typically the year begins in mid-April. ‘Vikari’ was the name of year 2019-20, which lived up to its meaning ‘illness’! ‘Sharvari’ was the name for the year 2020-21, which lived up to its meaning ‘darkness’. Now the new year ‘Plava’ will begin 2021-22, which means, ‘that which ferries us across". The Varaha Samhita text says: this will ferry the world across unbearable difficulties, taking us out of darkness, to reach a state of reverence. The year 2022-23 is named ‘Shubhkrut’, meaning that which creates ‘auspiciousness’. We must thank, Indian Traditional Sciences, the quintessential scientific, practical and inclusive of all systems in existence today🙏🏼Happy New Plava⏳

The mystery of life surrounds us, yet we have intelligence to navigate through it. And as we all live through these challenging times yet should be proud that we held ourselves together. Let the new year pave to find love, purpose, happiness & health in our life🙏🏼❤️🌷

With all the gratefulness and gratitude Urja Ayurvedics and APCAS. Thank you 🙏

World Vegetarian Day 2021 theme is to preserve the Earth in the best way by saving the lives of animals and enhancing the use of grains and other crops, vegetables, and other plant-based food as our diet. The day also spread the message about how to reduce the risk of major diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and cancer by reducing the habits of consuming meats or meat products.

People who are more concern about the environment, society, earth from all over the world celebrate the day with great attention.

It’s not mandatory for you to have the desire to live a vegetarian lifestyle every day, but if you care, you can at least spread the message and share your thoughts on this World Vegetarian Day about how much vegetarian cuisine is beneficial for our health.
