I'm so excited, vegan food wraps are on their way! A lot of you have been asking me about them and I've finally found some wax to make them. It will be trial and error to get the recipe right, but it will be worth it.

The most frustrating part about learning to sew is not knowing what I've done wrong! Oh well, I'll figure it out. And at least I've got some face wipes to keep for myself - I get to keep the seconds!

You can see the ones I have that did make the cut tomorrow at the Ultimate Mother's Day Market tomorrow in the Entertainment Quarter.

01/05/2021

Check out these new cold brew coffee filters I've been working on. I may be a bit late to the party, but cold brew is my new favourite way to have coffee.

I like it quite strong, so I use one cup of coarsely ground coffee to four cups of water and leave it to brew overnight. I put the coarse coffee in the filter and pour the water in (the coffee will float for a while but will sink with time); you can wrap the string around the handle of your jug or wrap it around a straw or something similar. If you wrap it around the handle, be aware that it will eventually seep up the bag and string. Once it's brewed, lift the filter bag out and you can turn the coffee grounds out into your compost. Give the bag a rinse and it's ready to go again.

The filter bags are $10 each and will be available on Sunday at The Hills UPmarket I'd love to see you there - especially after being rained out last month!

How cute are these little reusable tea bags?? I've made them big enough for a two person tea pot or a slice of lemon and ginger, but not too big for a single cup. See them at Dural Grower's Market today until 2!

These double layer unpaper towels are so awesome! Flannelette on one side and cotton on the other, they're super absorbent and you can use them for anything. Plain on one side and pattern on the other (patterned cotton has plain colour flannelette. Plain cotton has patterned flannelette), they are 100% cotton, machine washable, and will last as long as a normal towel will! Best of all, they are hand made, by me, and fully compostable at the end of their lives.

Sets of 3 for $20 - just send a message!

Hello everyone,

You may have noticed the name change we've recently undergone. Whilst I am still making beautiful beeswax wraps, I am also working on some additional handmade eco-friendly items. These include unpaper towels; crocheted dish scrubbies; and makeup removal/face wipes.

I look forward to showing you these awesome new things - and if there's a handmade eco-friendly product you've been looking for and can't find, let me know. I'll see if there's a way I can make it!

My new website will be up and running soon, but feel free to send me a message with any questions you might have

I'm back!! We went on holiday 11 days ago and left this half a cabbage in the fridge - we had the other half two days before we left home and I wanted to take it with us but it wouldn't fit it in the Esky 😂

We're having it for dinner tonight! Two weeks after buying, and cutting, and it's still amazing. Starting to brown, but still damn near perfect. Beeswax wraps for the win!

I adore Christmas so I'm giving you an early present:

*** FOUR FOR $40! ***

Four large wraps for $40, regularly $72, that's an extra -20% compared to my usual prices!

From now until Sunday 15th December.

Free standard Aus Post shipping is included, but I can't guarantee they'll arrive before Christmas (Aus Post dependent). If you want Express shipping, let me know - it's doable and won't add much extra to your order :)

All wraps colours/patterns will be randomly selected, but let me know what colours you like, or dislike, and I'll see what I can do!

How awesome is kombucha? I gave a friend my scoby last year and it's been going strong. I wanted to make my own again, and I'm getting back some of my original! I'm also getting tea thats ready for its second ferment so I'm using a mango cheek that I pureed. I've never had a successful second ferment using fruit before, so fingers crossed!!
