Today I have lots of mixed feelings and emotions coming up to the surface....

Joy, Happiness, Love, Grief, Fear, Anxiousness, Relief and more.

So what has brought these things up for me?

Yesterday I booked a trip to Indonesia for 4 weeks, leaving next Thursday.

So why would this bring everything up to the surface you may ask?

Well, for so long - as long as I can remember, I have always been busy - DOING.... crossing things off my 'to do' list, and working towards the next thing/project/goal.

Even on my last trips overseas to the USA/Guatemala/Ecuador in 2009 & 2011, it was more about DOING the Indy500, DOING a holiday.

But this time, my intention is to DO as little as possible - to remove myself from the familiar environment I am in here, to take away all the distractions, and allow myself to BE - to sit with ME, to BE with ME.... to relax and to breathe. To let go....

For me, this is what is bringing up all these emotions and feelings, as I have been great at avoiding BEING with them.

I love you all, and wish you the best on whatever journey/adventure you are on. And if you can, see if you can take some time out - time without distractions to just truly BE with YOU :)

Howdy All….

How’s your fermenting/health journey going?

So much exciting news to share with you all …. so you may want to grab yourself a cup of tea and get comfy 😉

Leading up to the end of the year I have my final batch of products ready to keep your gut healthy over the ‘festive season’.

1) The latest batch of SUPERTONIC is now ready and it is a real ‘cracker’ – nice amount of spice ($15 per 200ml bottle)
2) Mead, Mead, Mead and more Mead…. The most recent lot is super-sensational…. Not too sweet and not too sour – just right.. with a great amount of fizz (just like champagne) - ($15 per 440ml bottle)
3) Elderberry Syrup – This is one of the oldest remedies to ‘cure’ a cold (I probably can’t say that or I will get locked-up), and packed with antioxidants and all-round goodness (Elderberries, Cinnamon, Ginger, Orange Peel, Cloves – All Organic – Raw Honey and re-structured Water. If you haven’t yet tried it, get some into you and let me know what difference it makes. The kiddies really love this one too!!! ($15 per 200ml bottle)
4) Carrot/Ginger – very limited stock left ($15 per 750ml jar)
5) Gut Shots ($15 per 200ml bottle).

Kombucha is coming back …
I’ve also started to brew some larger quantities of kombucha, so please let me know if you want to try some – currently flavor will be: original, mint, pineapple, astragalus, vanilla and schizandra berry. If you are keen to get your hands on some of these, please let me know and I can send you the info regarding how to order them. If you haven’t yet tried a ‘traditional Kombucha’ then do yourself a favour, as most commercial Kombucha is sweet, fizzy lolly-water…

What’s Coming from Creative Cultures in 2024 …

Online Workshops – After lots and lots of requests, I will be looking at making this a reality for 2024, which will enable you to watch short YouTube clips for each of the recipes covered, and also allow those of you who haven’t yet attended a workshop, the opportunity to ‘jump-in’. Still early stages of planning, and I would love to hear what you think.

2024 Workshop Dates – I am currently working on workshop dates for the 1st half of 2024. The cost will be going up slightly, and it is still my promise to make it value for money, and that you leave with so much info, tips and inspiration to take your health to the next level.

I will be setting up a ‘referral’ link too, so anyone you recommend will be entitled to the ‘Bring-A-Friend’ price!

Some great info on Beetroot Kvass by Remedy Johnson of Adelaide....

BEET KVASS is not BEETROOT JUICE!
We hand cut each of the ORGANIC BEETS & place them into a large stainless steel vat with exquisite quality water (so important) & other ingredients, (which vary depending on the variety of KVASS we are making) & leave this to FERMENT.
FERMENTATION TIME VARIES SLIGHTLY. (2-3 weeks)
We use an acid/alkaline measurement to test each batch & of course the most important test of all ~~ our palate😋.
Based on the acidity levels & our taste buds determines if it's ready to bottle!!
We decant the FERMENTED LIQUID from the solids VOILA ~ you have KVASS.
I wanted to emphasize this today as some folks think we ferment beetroot juice. This is indeed possible to do ~ you can ferment just about anything ~ however the end result would be a VERY DIFFERENT product & certainly removed from the TRADITIONAL Eastern European process which is known as KVASS.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I DRINK?
BEET KVASS is considered a TONIC DRINK!
This means; 1. you can drink it daily 2. small amounts
When starting out with such a POWERHOUSE TONIC such as our BEET KVASS, it's recommended to begin slowly.
✅SLOWLY for someone with SEVERE GUT DYSBIOSIS would be
1tsp in the morning & then building to 1tsp morning & night.
Keeping this up to TRAIN & REBUILD the digestive system.
Increase amount slowly & over time.
✅ ADULT DOSE & KIDS FROM 8 upwards. 30-50ml twice daily
BABIES can also begin to suckle KVASS or KEFIR from their Mama's fingers. I have often suggested in my classes that by dipping your finger into a beautiful fermented drink (either home-made or something lovingly made like The CultureHood's products) & allow your baby to take it from your finger.
I would suggest from about 6months onwards you can 'introduce' these BENEFICIAL MICROBES which are COMPLETELY NATURAL to our bodies into your baby to support their development. (immune sys. & digestive sys. particularly)
💚 INTUITION ~ something I feel so many people are not trusting anymore!!! 😭 You could call it GUT FEELING!!!
Allow yourself to 'know' when you need a TOP UP OF KVASS.
Taking an EXTRA SHOT when you know you need it.
🥰When you are RUN DOWN!! (sleep, stress, illness etc)
BEET KVASS is truly one of the MOST IMPORTANT POWERHOUSE SUPPLEMENTS IN MY LIFE.
And because it is a LIQUID PROBIOTIC TONIC DRINK ~ our body gets to utilize it's unlocked nutrition & microbial magic almost immediately!!!
