The Blessing of the Bikes was held over the weekend at the Cathedral of St Stephen, Brisbane. Bishop Tim Norton blessed all of the bikes before everyone went for a ride along the Brisbane river to Orleigh Park, West End, for a BBQ breakfast.

We are thankful that bikes bring health benefits and reduce environmental pollution and contribute to caring for our common home. We pray for the safety and protection of cyclists on their everyday travels, that they may experience joy in getting to ride and witness the beauty of God's creation around them 🚲

A great gathering on the 7 nov. 24 members including deanery priests attended the deanery pastoral council launch. Thank you to our facilitators from archdiocese evangelisation Brisbane. Director Peter Pellicaan. Adult faith director Shane Dwyer and melissa Ledwich project officer for parishes.
Such a fulfilling day. The Holy Spirit certainly has a huge job ahead. The passion and love for the Catholic Church was amazing on the day. Blessings to all our parish representatives and parish priests.

Throughout history, God's people have been inspired to write music that expresses the profound love and grace of God. This moment is not different, and we want to be intentional about writing songs that reveal the wonder of our faith with a sound that resonates with the modern ear. The Encounter Songwriting Sessions are a monthly Catholic songwriting collaborative that seeks to bring together a team of local songwriters to create original Catholic music that can be used in prayer and youth group.
