Calling Regional, Rural and Remote women!
New feature documentary Rural Daughters takes an unflinching look at the unique and often overlooked barriers and success stories of remote, rural and regional women as they effect change and lead purpose-driven lives.
As part of the documentary, CheekyMac Productions are aiming to survey more than 1000 remote, rural and regional women across Australia. The insights gained from this survey will play a crucial role in highlighting the challenges and triumphs of rural women, advocating for their needs, and celebrating their contributions to our communities.
We have launched the nationwide 1000 Rural Women Survey covering natural disasters, health, domestic violence, societal attitudes, racial prejudice, Tall Poppy Syndrome, community life, leadership, and female role models.
This research will not only inform our documentary, it is also expected to inform policy and be used to develop educational resources for Australian schools.
Participating in this survey is voluntary. Any information that you provide will be treated with confidentiality. In addition to the documentary, data may be used for a journal publication and a book. It will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete this survey. If you agree to be part of this survey, and your are a woman, please tick "Begin survey" and click "Next" to proceed.
The study has been approved by Federation University Human Research Ethics committee: project number 2024/107

π Road trip, anyone?
Our team is heading to Shepparton in regional VIC for 5 jam-packed days of free workshops, 1:1 tech support β oh, and a keynote! β all about digital skills for women.
Why? Well, it's pretty simple. Women who live in regional and rural areas are more likely to experience digital exclusion, impacting their lives in so many ways.
Our team consulted deeply with women in Greater Shepparton, and we're delivering a suite of workshops based on the digital skills they want and need.
