Last week, CSU @ UNSW discussed being a community of practice.
We meet regularly on Thursdays at 1pm near the Quad. Get in touch with Rev Phil Newton for more details.
“…Practicing the way of Jesus is inspired by a vision of the present availability of the kingdom of love. Jesus said that he came to bring life "to the full" (John 10:10) and described eternal life as a state of restored relationship with God we can experience now that will continue on forever (John 17:3). It is a life that finds its source and energy in God's life. We might simply say that the way of Jesus is life in the kingdom of God—or life as we were created to experience it. The two greatest commands of the ancient Scriptures give a picture of this life: to love the Creator God with our whole being (Deuteronomy 6:5) and to love our neighbour as we love ourselves (Leviticus 19:18). Or to say it another way, we were created to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8).”
