I'm super excited to do this recital with so many wonderful songs from the movies. Including this amazing song by Irving Berlin from 1930 - 'Reaching for the moon', which I did a little impromptu recording of tonight in my hotel room.

On Tuesday I had the absolute pleasure of attending Opera Queensland's double bill of La voix humaine and The Call with the splendid bass David Hibbard as my date. Isn't he dapper?! 😍

These operas are just the most extraordinary pieces, performed by the most incredible artists Ali McGregor and Alexandra Flood... and I am also in absolute awe of conductor Zoe Zeniodi - Conductor/Pianist and the fabulous Queensland Symphony Orchestra. And huge congratulations to Patrick Nolan for the superb direction and wonderful programming!!! 👏😍

I was profoundly moved, there were tears shed. DO NOT MISS these performances - there are only two shows left in Brisbane QPAC tomorrow night, and Friday night. 🥂🍾 🎶

Today we performed the Australian premiere of 'Last First-Light' by wonderful composer Anne Cawrse, with libretto by Peter Goldsworthy. It's a really special piece, and such a privilege to be a part of it.

Tomorrow I get to sing Strauss' Vier letzte Lieder, and I couldn't be more excited about singing these incredible songs with such a wonderful ensemble of players, led by the superlative playing of Andrew Haveron. Spoilt much?! 🎻🎶

Singing the English national anthem for The Ashes at the Sydney Cricket Ground earlier this week. It's a bit hard to see due to the microphones, but I am wearing two ribbons on my lapel - a pink one for breast cancer, and a white ribbon to recognise lung cancer. 🤍🎗️💖

So sad that Opera Australia is unable to continue with it planned performances of these operas. Hoping that we will have an opportunity to join together again in the not-too-distant future. Much love to all who poured their heart and soul into trying to make these performances happen.

PERFORMANCE UPDATE: We're sad to announce that all upcoming performances of the Ring Cycle and Aida in Brisbane have been postponed due to COVID travel restrictions.

This is hugely disappointing news, but we are committed to re-scheduling these spectacular productions so that the seven years of planning that has already gone into this project won't go to waste. Ticketholders will be contacted regarding their options.

We thank all of our partners, artists, audiences and devoted supporters, and look forward to performing these great operatic works in the future.
