Pet Caskets of Distinction - Burial & Exhumation
Summary of activities
Exhumation of pet remains across Victoria. No longer doing burials.
Exhumations not available during lockdown but please book in for first available chance.
Ceased casket manufacture and burials 2017 continuing exhumations.
Cute
To my friends and clients, after 23+ years of this I am declining burials as an activity of the business from now on. Ageing is a beast!!!
Exhumations will only be considered case by case,- some exhumation in the past have almost killed ME!!!!
Accurate knowledge of the location is fundamental and the pet must have been preferably wrapped or boxed. plus other factors.
The age of the burial also will be considered. Please contact me to discuss if required.
The casket manufacture was well developed and documented and I would willingly hand it over to a capable successor at a minimal cost. I can happily advise anyone considering DIY also. “It’s all in the shovel!!!”
Pet Caskets of Distinction - Burial & Exhumation updated their info in the about section.
wonderful video!!
Ongoing search for the remains of a second cat in Footscray with help of another (face blurred for privacy) After 2.5 days second cat not found. one of the deepest exhumations Ive attempted. When I stopped digging I could hear muted chinese voices from the bottom of the hole and traffic noise?? Not a trace of the body in many areas. The first one was found back in december after a day and a half. Very frustrating day.-and wet clay besides!!!
I have to sadly let every one know I cant supply caskets any longer after 20 years and many satisfied customers. Im specialising in exhumations these days.
A recent exhumation in Footscray during the very hot weather. Two cats up to 36 years ago. Recollection of location of Graves was inacurate. 2 days of investigative searching found one cat. (keeps me fit?)
A recent exhumation underway by me at Albury.
You all may like to investigate this matter further.
vets prescribing these treatments that may be killing animals! One of my recent exhumation clients in Albury is convinced that this was the cause of her dog's death. Apparently there are class actions underway in other countries.
The show must go on!!
soaked through after the dig!
Last weeks exhumation completed East Gippsland in that bitter weather. Not fun!!!
I did an exhumation in the rain and cold today.-South Gippsland. Ive had a blessed history in that previously for 20 years. Like the US postal service, the job must get done. Good outcome and happy client despite numb fingers and wet clothes. If it doesnt kill you it makes you stronger-right??
Exhumations are often hard and always exacting. Taking care to create minimal disturbance to the remains by proceeding slowly and carefully, thinking of ways each time to achieve that and have a good result and [paramount always remembering and respecting the relationship of the client with the entity I am retrieving. Its often not a pleasant job but the gratitude of the client makes it always worth it. Its a task I enjoy regardless. I guess not that many realise I'm available to help. Spread the word please?
Every job is a new experience and a learning opportunity.
Today I opened a 4 year old burial I did for a client, changed the original bedding in the box as requested, then added a new body deceased yesterday before re-burying both.
Fortunately perfect weather for same. Not so tomorrow.
Good outcome for all.
cute!!
Just sharing the post about flea treatment just in case?? I have no knowledge of same myself!
Dingo pups. "Fetching Bahaviour"
Exhuming a 34 year old burial. First indications of being in the right place
The size 3 lid a little grubby!
Im doing more exhumations than anything else these days
My size 3 in use recently. Been doing all this around 19 years now!!
A Grave in a Grave....again!
Nearing the end of a careful exhumation recently
A must read for pet owners. Author unknown. very moving.
If it should be I grow frail and weak,
And pain should wake me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this last battle can't be won
You will be sad I understand
Don't let your grief then stay your hand
For this day more than all the rest
Your love and friendship stand the test
We've had so many happy years
What is to come will hold no fears
You'd not want me to suffer ....so
When the time comes.......please let me go
Take me where all my needs they'll tend
But stay with me until the end
Hold me firm and talk to me
Until my eyes no longer see
I know in time you too will see
It is a kindness that you do for me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I've been saved
Do not grieve that it should be for you
Who must decide this thing to do
We've been so close - we two - these years
Don't let your heart hold any tears

Complex lining installation
Casket builds are very complex. These clamps are just for installing the molding around base.
