Welcome to the 2024 SEQ Bream Series!

We are back for another big year of tournament fishing coming up here in SEQ with a new series format and 7 single day rounds starting in January plus a Grand final being held over two days in October.

In 2024 we are going to back to traditional live weigh in tournaments with teams fishing from a boat or kayak targeting their 5 Biggest Bream each round on lures only then weighing them in live at the end of tournament and releasing them, vessels must have a livewell to keep 5 Bream alive.

Round 1 January 21st – Nerang River Only
Round 2 March – Mooloolaba
Round 3 April – Gold Coast
Round 4 May – Raby Bay
Round 5 June – Gold Coast
Round 6 July – Tweed Heads
Round 7 September – Redcliffe
Grand Final October – 2 Day event TBA + Gold Coast

Hey all, I will be releasing the 2024 SEQ Bream Series in the coming days with venues, dates and series info.

I have been asked a number of times when will the first round be and it will be as follows.

January 21st - Nerang River.

That’s a wrap on the 2023 series!

Firstly I like to thank everyone who supported the series in 2023, living costs have been tough for everyone this year but I was great to run these events and see everyone come along and have a good time.

The 2024 series will be released on December 1st and 2024 will see the series go back to the traditional live weigh In tournaments with no more measure in.

Below is the stats for 2023.

The 2023 Team of the Series sees teams best 5 rounds of the 6 that count, going into the final round the points are tight to take out the title and the cash payout.

Things are getting tight at the top of tree for the Team of the Series with one round remaining, as we head into the last round on November 11th & 12th the overall pointscore will be the teams top 5 round that count so some teams will drop their worst result.

Currently we have $456 in the prize pool and with one round to go that should hit the $600 mark with the top two teams getting a payout 1st 70% 2nd 30%

SEQ Bream Series Round 5 Mooloolaba Results.

We headed up to our most northern stop of the SEQ Bream Series today at Mooloolaba for round 5 of the series with over $2100 worth of cash and prizes up for grab, the post spawn bite made the fishing tricky and slow but all teams but one caught their 5 fish limit and we seen a new round winner for the year fishing out of his kayak!

The 2023 SEQ Bream Series Round 6 “series final” is set and confirmed for a two day event being held on November 11th & 12th at Raby Bay & Gold Coast, this is a normal round and will be open all anglers regardless of you have a fished a round in 2023.

This two day event is different to most standard Bream events as it’s held on two different locations, has two separate payouts each day and a bonus cash payout for the overall combined winner for the weekend, this allows teams who did not have a good day 1 to come back on day 2 and fish for cash and prizes.

Random draw prizes are for the teams who don’t place in any of the cash payouts over the weekend, these are drawn at the end of prestation by a phone app with your finish position your number for the draw, you must be there to collect your prize, or it will be redrawn, and no team can win the same random draw prize throughout the 2023 series.

If we get good support for this event we will run more of them in 2024 as we thi knit toces everyone a good shot at winning something and sharing the payouts through the teams.

Single day tournament Discounted Entry from $120 to $50 Per Team.

It’s the start of Spring and after a short break we’re preparing for our next round being held at Mooloolaba on September 24th.

Each year we hold a tournament on the small but fish rich system of the Mooloolah River which is full of great canals and structure that has seen some monster Bream caught.

This is a lure only tournament for teams fishing solo or a team of two in a boat or solo in a Kayak fishing for your 5 Biggest Bream.
