Just finished this hexagon crochet cardigan for a baby. Purchased pattern and yarn from the UK. It was very easy to crochet, but I did change a couple of things. Second photo is a friend and I knitting and crocheting for World knit and crochet in public day. We did so just before our daughters played their hockey game.

Just had to have the roses and when this arrived from the UK I had to just start it. Not like I haven’t got other WIPs that need finishing! 🤦🏻‍♀️

So as promised here is the wearers of the scarves I was ask to knit. They are so cute! ☺️ 🦆 Wendy from .duck.designs is the business that will be selling them. So if you are an Eagle or Docker fan or you know someone who is and you need a gift then these might be a great one.

Not only do I knit and crochet, sometimes a dabble in making things with fabric. These fabric designs are from an artist (our daughter) whose fabrics are available on and her user name is . The Dr of Plague, top fabric is her best seller and she was requested by customers if she was able to change the original size and even the colours. Of course as a graphic designer that’s no problem. The blue background is her latest. If you are liking this 3 designs and want to see more of her work go check them out. She will be in the future design more. Anyway, now to decide what I will make with them, project bags maybe! 🤔

Knitting this scarf for a KAL with like minded members. This scarf is Called Ula by Vera Marcu. The yarn I’m using is called Nightshade from Michelle. I’m loving this pattern. Not quite finished the first ball, it requires 4 all together. Also loving using this Wool Jeanie, I purchased from and for the first time using knit Companion. I highly recommend both of these. You can find Michelle patterns on Ravelry.

I started this jumper in July and it is now finished. I used Bendigo Woollen Mills Prism with 4 colours. I found the pattern in a Spotlight pattern book and decided to knit it. They used Finders cotton. I match the colours as best I could to the original and think I did a great job. Mine is 100% pure wool. I used 4mm circular needles, there are 6 rows to the pattern. The original pattern had two pockets but I decided only on one! Somewhere to pop a tissue in, lol. Because I used more of 3 colour Spectrum in the sleeves as I made them longer I had to do a call out for spare yarn and was luck a lady in a Facebook group had some.

Found these little flower granny squares quite a few years ago and pop them away thinking one day I would find a use for them. Well with crochet a big thing in fashion I decided to make a bag with them. I crocheted the squares together with black yarn then found some fabric to use as a liner and machine sow it together. Use black cord for the over the shoulder strap.

Just heard some sad news 😢. Some of you might have known Morgan who was a great yarn wear designer and featured in Inside Crochet UK magazine quite often passed away yesterday. I followed her on Instagram during the UK lockdowns and really like her creations.

RIP Fran

Inspired by Daniela I have started my knitting journal. This entry is a cardigan I started knitting while on holiday in UK and finished it once we returned home to Australia, hence the flags. I’m not a good drawer 🤣 The yarn used is Stylecraft ReCreate purchased from Wool Warehouse in the UK. It is a combination of wool, acrylic and polyester all recycled. It’s quite soft and was a pleasure to knit with. I knitted a little sample and stuck the label in there as a reminder. Started knitting on the 23rd March and finished on 19th June.

Sorry haven’t posted up anything lately so thought it was time to. First photo is a collection of my new project, new project bag by Daniela here in Perth Western Australia. I first meet Daniela at a destash craft market in Cannington a month or so ago. I have started following her podcast on YouTube. She has inspired me to do a journal of my projects which I will show you when I have got it going, so watch this space. I’m also thinking of doing my own podcast, again watch this space. Anyway Daniela bought at the destash a piece of fabric from me which she used in two bags, one of which I purchased (here in photo). Also at the destash a fella stall holder was selling some bowls she made (sorry can’t remember her business name) and I liked this one so of course bought it. Anyway, next is my latest WIP. I saw this jumper in the latest Spotlight pattern book and decided this was my next knit. I’d had a new yarn card from Bendigo Woollen Mill about their new yarn called Prism and decided to try to match the colours in the photo as best I could using the Prism. I think I haven’t done a bad job. The pattern uses cotton but I want a wooly jumper. So as you can see I’ve started the back and am on to the third colour. The colours I’m using are In order After Dark 2259, Zenith 2258, Spectrum 2255 and last but haven’t started yet Enchanted 2253. There is only 6 rows to the pattern, simple and easy but enjoyable. Once finished it will need blocking. I also decided to only do one pocket, in the Enchanted not as pattern shows the second colour Zenith. I have completed a project which I will do another post about soon. EDIT: Forgot to mention my new row counter! Not really needed for this project but couldn’t help myself! 😁

While on holiday in the UK everytime we went out in the hired car I knitted quite a few dish/wash cloths. knitting them has got my juices going again and since being home amongst other project have been making a few. So now to start selling my best seller again. I was selling for $9 each back then but have decided to reduce the price to $6 each or 3 for $16. This mainly covers the cost of the cotton I use. These are ready to be sold apart from the sage green/multi coloured that is displayed flat. If you are interested in buying any of these or after a certain colour please contact me via pm. They can be picked up or Posting is available. P/up Joondalup WA

A couple of weeks ago I shared that I had rescued these granny squares from a charity shop and decided to use them to make blankets for the kitties . Well the are finished and I’m pretty pleased with them. Will have to take a drive down to drop them off next week sometime.

“Among Us” dead spaceman.

01/08/2022

So there was a call out from Cat Haven WA for kitty blankets. They want them for their cats who are up for adoption. Each cat who get adopted goes to their new home with one. So I decided I would help out. While in one of our Op/Charity shops I came across all these unused granny squares and decided to rescue them to use for a blanket for the cats. So not only am I donating the blanket I purchased the square which will help whoever Salvos puts their money too. Thank you to them for letting me buy them cheaper as it’s going for a good course. There are some other colours that don’t actually go with these colours, I’ll try to see if I can make another one.

“Among Us” pet slugs. Ready for their new owners.

“Among Us” number 2. Hope Grandson will like him. Used 8ply Hobbii cotton with 3mm so he is bigger than the red one.

Photos from Knitpurlchain's post 25/07/2022

So our Grandson has been watching a game and I wondered what it was all about. Turns out there are crocheted patterns for it “Among Us. So decided to have a go. There needs to be some improvements but for my first time doing Amigurumi it’s not bad. My daughter has decided this one’s hers and the Grandson wants a blue one.

20/07/2022

Lol, thinking I should have this at my front door! 🤣

17/07/2022

I found a pattern on Pinterest, a granny stripe jumper and have been itching to start crocheting it. It requires 8ply, thought I would go check my stash in my craftroom. Remembered I had purchased some Bendigo Wool on a yarn Destash page. It requires 5 different colours and I had that amount. First choose the start of colour, classic gold , dark iris, guava, bright magenta and last blueberry. Of course I’ve folded this over to take photo. It’s going to be a long sleeve jumper.

Someone on a group I’m in on Facebook shared who she crocheted some slippers. In the group we get paired up with another member either International or domestic (members choose) and we become Yarn Pals. We send to whoever we are given but received from someone else. It’s such fun waiting for package to arrive. I used some yarn I received last time to make the slippers. So easy to make and they are really nice to wear. Thinking of using hot glue on soles so they don’t slip on tiles etc.

Last of my latest customer orders. This time for a French Bulldog. The colour suits him really well. Prefect fit as well.

Photos from Knitpurlchain's post 24/06/2022

So a client contacted me regarding a puppy jumper for her dog! Well didn’t I get a shock when I realised how small this was going to be. So is said puppy jumper, smallest I’ve knitted so far. Had to use the XS size and stop at 15cm length instead of the 25cm stated! How cute does she look!
