firstly, as when they are encountered, they are so far removed from the original object they were made with (a fork), that the design itself stands alone..
Secondly, when it is finally realised (usually via prompt) that they are indeed made from fork tines, they’re even more desirable & appreciated

We discovered them at ~ a new local charity op shop in Noosaville that is run by a Dynamic group of motivated women seeking to make a difference, providing counselling and support services to their local community. A true grass roots movement hoping to provide much needed support for local people challenged by the circumstances that life throws at them on the Sunshine Coast
From the sale of these earrings we intend to donate $20 to this amazing local movement

That’s the name of the pattern on this sweet little demitasse coffee spoon
Crafted by ‘Rodd’, an Australia silverware maker in the 1950’s
Sometimes we find these little boxes of spoons, never taken out of their cases - once a gift for a wedding or engagement, tucked away for ‘special moments’

It’s rose season.
This Damask Rose was grown from the cutting of a 100 year old tree that grows on the Peninsula, here in the deep south of Tassie, up the road from where our jewellery studio is based.
Modelled here on the makers hand is a spoon ring crafted from a sterling silver spoon of a similar vintage to that rose tree.
These old beauties are rare gems and if their antique value exceeds their silver value, they become quite a coveted jewellery design.
This particular spoon ring boasts an intricate monogram which we believe depicts the intials J.L. Although the script appears as intricate as the centre of a rose.
Simply... beautiful!
