Wow, 11 years have flown by! It feels like yesterday when we were a small team with big goals of making construction more considerate. Now, look at us - LAW Environmental Management has grown into something we never could have imagined back in 2013.

From assisting with implementing environmental management processes during the construction of the Central-West Orana to meeting key project environmental management deliverables for the Sydney Metro West Central Tunnelling, we've had the privilege of working on some truly incredible projects across New South Wales and Queensland. Each one has brought its own challenges and rewards, pushing us to innovate and grow.

But the real heart of LAW has always been our people - both our dedicated team and the amazing partners and communities we've worked with along the way. You've all played a part in our journey to make Australia a little greener, cleaner, and more sustainable.

Here's to 11 years of positive impact and many more. Cheers!

Did you know cities can be hotter than rural areas? The Urban Heat Island Effect phenomenon can impact health, energy use, and the environment. But fear not! Here are some strategies that, once in place, can help to cool our urban spaces:

βœ… Green Infrastructure: Plant trees and create green spaces for shade and natural cooling.
βœ… Cool Roofs: Reflective materials reduce heat absorption, cutting energy costs.
βœ… Permeable Surfaces: Use permeable pavement to absorb rainwater, reducing runoff and heat.
βœ… Urban Planning: Incorporate parks, optimise street layouts for shade, and reduce heat from buildings and vehicles.

Let's build cooler, greener cities together! πŸŒŽπŸ’š
