12 Days of Christmas Advent project ideas!
Well that took way longer that I thought it would but I have finished my post full of project ideas for the advent calendar 🎉 *link in bio
This post has ideas covering both knit and crochet options for shawls/wraps, sweaters/tops and blankets so there is something for almost everyone.
These patterns would also work equally well for other advents or to use up leftovers or minis from your stash.

Hello lovely people 💕 I am so excited to share that I (as my hand dyed yarn business ) will be a stall holder at the September 4th & 5th! It’s going to be amazing and I’ll have lots of yummy yarn (both in stock and dyed to order), some new products/colourways and a show special to celebrate. I may have a pattern sale that weekend too!

What’s the Big Wool Show? Well I didn’t know either and missed it last year but it’s an online fibre festival that began so we could all share our love for the wonderful fibre arts that we do even when the world is topsy turvy. There will be classes, live streams, interviews and of course a delicious array of fibres from so many talented people that you’ll just have to see it to believe it!

So mark the dates in your calendar, follow for updates and share this with your fibre friends in case they don’t know about it either.

The suitcase market has been moved to Sunday and it will now be in the RSL hall (this is the hall where they have the workshops this year and in the past has been more trade stalls, swipe for map) so if you are coming Sunday that where I’ll be with all the yarn I can put in my 2 suitcases 🧳🧳

Who’s excited for Knitfest this weekend?!?
Well I know I am!
And, provided all goes well this week Covid-wise, I will be there Saturday with as much yarn as I can stuff into 2 suitcases! So don’t forget to come visit the Suitcase Market on Saturday from 9am until 2pm. I’m guessing there will be quite a few people like me who missed out on a trade stall (as there are less of those this year) and are doing the suitcase market instead.

I’m only 2 rows away from my next colour change for my Daydreamer Shawl and I can’t wait!!!
The next colour is a rich blue with purple and turquoise splashes and pink and yellow speckles so it’s going to be awesome seeing how each stitch works up.

I know I should share the wonderful photos of my testers Dancing Rainbows Cowls (and I will soon, I promise), but I’m dyeing up a batch of the gradient you all helped me and just had to share these photos with you.
I am already into colour 2 of my Daydreamer Shawl (pic 2) and to say I’m loving it is an understatement! This 4ply Pima cotton is gorgeous to work with (just like the 8ply was) and I’m delighted with how the colours are working up 💕

The pattern is already available through all my shops (see the link in my bio) and the yarn will be available through really soon.

My gorgeous boy Rory 💕 I love this small human (actually not so small anymore - it won’t be too long before he’s taller than me).

After a long and awesome day at the market yesterday, today’s vibe is more comfy tights (my new which are so awesome) and a new project with some new yarn on the couch in the sun ☀️

Project details: pattern is the Daydreamer Crochet Shawl by me 😆 and the yarn is the gradient set I dyed after all the votes the other day on 4ply Pima cotton. I promise I’ll get photos of the full set soon but I did already ball up 2 of them.

Test details: Easy level pattern. Uses 100-300g DK/8ply yarn in any fibre with a 4.5mm (7) hook. You can test the small or larger version. Test timeline is one month.

I’m so happy I got the rolled edge figured out because I absolutely love it 😍 and couldn’t imagine it without it.

So, the pattern for this will be ready for testing really soon (maybe next week if things go according to plan) so if you’re interested in testing I run my tests through my Facebook group - Just search Vivid Kreations Tester Group and request to join. There is no obligation to test a minimum or anything but I usually ask my testers there first and it’s a good place to share progress, ask for help and keep things organised.
