I’m doing some research around the way we (in corporate and professional work environments) say “well done” to our female colleagues and also those females that speak/post/lead in their areas of expertise.

Any feedback is welcome. Whether it be a link to a female leader, a comment, an opinion, a thought. All is welcome.

When I first started as a freelancer I was super shy on socials.
​
​I knew I had to show up but honestly, I was paralysed by 'what will people think', 'who wants to hear what I have to say' and 'what makes me qualified to say anything?'.
​
​Worried what past work mates may think. Worried what clients would say.
​
​And it took me a whole year before I even put my face on socials {even though I knew better and was telling my clients to put themselves out there}. It's extremely rare that I'll shoot a video {even though video can be one of the fastest growing profile builder tactics there is}.
​
​So when people come to me wanting to get started on LinkedIn but paralysed by the fear that sits behind it - I get it. I truly do.
​
It's hard to put yourself out there - but being uncomfortable is where the growth happens.
​
I have an active imagination so what worked for me was imagining three things;
​
​1. What's the worst that could happen? And what's the comeback?
​2. What's the best that could happen?
​3. What would my life look like in a years time if I did nothing?
​
​It's a neat little exercise - will you give it a go?
