Dahua has released an update for the app.

If you're experiencing issues with the DMSS app on mobile with Telstra please try and update to the latest version.

Once updated you may need to close and open the DMSS app fully as follows.

iPhone X and later

- From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen - and pause in the middle of the screen.
- Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

Attention iPhone users: The latest update to the Dahua DMSS app is causing connectivity issues for those on Telstra’s 4/5G network.

To avoid this problem, we recommend disabling automatic updates and refraining from updating the DMSS app if you haven’t already. Here’s how you can turn off automatic updates:

- Go to **Settings > App Store**
- Turn off **App Updates**

Alternatively, if you've already updated and are experiencing issues, please install the 1.1.1.1: Faster Internet app to restore connectivity.

Once downloaded open the app and follow the prompts, enable WARP, once connected you should be able to use the DMSS app again.

You may need to close and open the DMSS app fully as follows.

iPhone X and later

As of now, this issue seems to affect only iPhone users on Telstra with the app version 1.99.700.

The previous version 1.99.622 is working fine.

PSA: It appears that the Hikvision servers are experiencing a few issues, so the app may be temporarily unresponsive or unavailable for some people.

Rest assured, the system will continue recording, and all data will be there if needed. However, you won't be able to access the app for now.

We hope this issue will be resolved soon. Unfortunately, we don't receive any feedback from Hikvision, which is one reason we have transitioned to Dahua in recent years.

You can see if the system has come back online by refreshing the app. Simply drag down on the home screen until you see the "release to update" prompt. This will search for the system online and update the app.

If the app hasn't come back on in the next 24 to 48 hours, then give the system a full reboot. This may involve restarting your modem, NVR, or the white box with blue lights if you have one. Wait 10 minutes for it to boot up again, then refresh the app.

We will update this post if we receive any more information.
