Next year will be the last Bluesfest, so if you've always wanted to go, then next year is your last chance. This, as well as Forth cancelling, is very sad.
Maybe we should now be looking towards smaller, regional festivals for our Blues fix.
After 35 years, Bluesfest is coming to an end Bluesfest has been a hugely popular musical celebration every Easter for over 35 years. Next year it all comes to an end.
Unfortunately next year's Forth Valley Blues Fest will not be going ahead.
We have a request from Carl Bulow, who is looking for video footage of Fandango when they played at the Jam in June.
Can anyone help him?
We have had some great musicians coming to play at our ban and jam. Here is a video of the wonderful Richard Steele Trio, and some fantastic guitar and musicianship.
Continuing with celebrations of the Blues in Tassie, this is from our own Steve Weir. We know him as an amazing keyboardist, but Steve is a man of many talents and keen to help us celebrate International Blues Day. Enjoy!
Here we have a fabulous Tassie band and past guest artist for the LBC, Tin Pocket. We found them playing in Hobart a couple of weeks ago - here’s a clip:
Another video, sent in by Paul Christensen, of his former band Two Lane Blacktop, and they sound pretty good! Thank you Paul🙏
Continuing our celebration of Blues in Tassie on International Blues Day - here is world class Lloyd Spiegel playing at the Oak earlier this year
Great afternoon with Slim Pickins and jammers at The Oak.
