Looking at these photos, I remember the sweet little girl I met at 3 years old and who has grown into this beautiful woman who has now married the love of her life. Sarah and Brent were married at Old Tower House Perth. It was a beautiful day and very special for me to have married the daughter of an old friend.

It was a wonderful day at The Vines for Niall and Claire's wedding. Many of their guests had travelled from Ireland for this day and they couldn't have been a happier group. We passed the wedding rings amongst the guests for their best wishes and bestowal of blessings, then Niall, Claire and their son Elijah poured sand to signify unity. They chose the colours of the Irish flag; green, white and orange as a nod to their heritage. We followed this with a thank you to both sets of parents and later when it was time to sign the documents, both Mum's were given the honour much to their delight.
Thanks to Kevin McGinn Photographer for the wonderful sneak peek photos and also to Jenny at The Vines as always you were a tremendous asset.

Today marks the beginning of my 14th year as a Celebrant and I can honestly say that I have the best job in the world. I know that this coming year will be as delightful as the last 13 and I am very much looking forward to celebrating with many more couples as they begin the next part of their journey together.
Of all the ceremonies I conducted in 2023, one stands out as being really special. I had the pleasure of marrying my daughter Fiona to her partner of many years, Adrian, in a 'short and sweet' ceremony at my home and it was just wonderful to have been there for them. Lunch with the family followed at Rustico Tapas & Wine Bar and the day was exactly what they both wanted.

So, already this year I have had the pleasure of marrying Rodney and Ming at the West Subiaco Masonic Hall, and Jai and Natt at The Vines Resort and with more weddings planned it's going to be another fun filled year and many great memories to cherish.

When circumstances didn't allow for Rashmi and Manoj to return to Sri Lanka for a traditional wedding ceremony they decided to celebrate by getting married at Crown Perth. So together with 30 guests, I enjoyed not only marrying this lovely couple but also watching them receive a Buddhist blessing from the Abbot who travelled down from the monastery in the Swan Valley for the occasion. It was a really beautiful occasion and timing was of the utmost importance; Groom and Bride arriving at specific times, then both accompanied by their 'Perth' families slowly ascend to the dais, then the ceremony began at a specified time and also had to finish right on the dot, following cultral traditions. Certainly something that I felt truly honoured not only to witness but to be a part of.

With Noelle and Nic at beautiful Hyde Park Perth for their wedding. They are both avid LEGO fans, so it featured heavily in the decorations at the park as well as their reception. It was a gorgeous day, and everyone enjoyed seeing their Husky, Theo (who was being cared for by Fliss at First Class Pet Sitting ) take his place for photos. They also engaged David from Komodo Music who not only managed the ceremony music but also entertained the 150 strong group at the reception.
Limbo Images captured the event on film and video. Styling was by Yulia from Wedding Magic- Events&Weddings Styling and Hire decorations

Bernadette and Ben decided to get married, however they wanted it to be a surprise. They announced their engagement and put plans in place to have a big party. Little did their guests know that this evening event would also include a marriage ceremony. So, having enjoyed initial celebrations, everyone was asked to make their way up from the Club House to the 2nd Tee for photographs at Point Walter Golf Club, where I, along with their photographer was waiting. And were their guests surprised? Absolutely!!! To cap it all off, it was a gorgeous evening. I do like a good surprise!!!!

Forrest Beach is a beautiful stretch of coastline as far as the eye can see, about 2.5 hours from Perth. Set a couple of km's off the Bussell Hwy. south of Capel, it's a gorgeous location for a wedding. So when Jessica and Kyle asked me to be their Celebrant, I was looking forward to travelling down to this part of WA. They had a lovely intimate ceremony and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Thanks to Jessica, Kyle and Henderson Photographics for these great memories of the day

I spent Tuesday morning attending a network meeting at Rothwood Accommodation and Venue Garden in Wattle Grove with some of my celebrant colleagues from the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants. We were hosted by the owner Kevin Bennett who shared the history of the property and gave us the grand tour. This lovely venue boasts many pretty areas to hold a wedding ceremony and there is also a new marquee will is a great option in any weather. Many hours went into developing the beautiful grounds and the results are certainly a testament to Kevin's hard work. We had a thoroughly enjoyable morning, thanks Kevin for your hospitality.

It was a lovely afternoon in May and we were at Perth City Farm for the wedding of Amber and Alex. Tucked away in East Perth, the venue is a perfect setting for a wedding, with its lovely gardens and eclectic artwork. The tradition celebrated on the day was that of Scotland and Alex looked very handsome in his clan tartan. He presented Amber with a sash of the same tartan after they exchanged rings. Live streaming to family interstate and overseas meant that no one missed out.

Sam and Jon celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary yesterday and had invited their closest family members and friends to their home for a formal dinner. The back garden had been styled beautifully with rows of tables and chairs, a lovely white backdrop with lighting and a big TV showing dozens of family photos from down the years, it was quite special. I arrived at 6pm, quietly set up and at the appropriate time, was handed the microphone by the MC, Shane. I welcomed everyone telling them that not only were we celebrating 30 years of marriage but also a Renewal of Vows ceremony. There were lots of gasps, cheers and clapping as Sam was escorted in from the front garden on the arm of the same man who walked her down the aisle all those years ago. We began our ceremony with Sam and Jon lighting a Unity Candle and we also included their children who each poured a different colour vial of sand into a decorated bottle. Following the ceremony, they all signed the Renewal Certificate and the party began. The story of this lovely couple is an amazing one and I am in awe of their incredibly big hearts. Not only are they are wonderful parents to their own daughter and sons, they have also fostered 72 children in their years together. It was such a special evening and I was so happy to have been a part of it with them.

At Tree Elle Retreat located between Denmark and Walpole with Emily and Mitch for their big day. Although the weather was inclement, the lovely Kim from Tree Elle Retreat was on hand with clear umbrellas to guard us against the rain. She managed the day beautifully for our lovely couple. Thanks to Mel Silva Photography for the gorgeous photos. Also to Bloomin Flowers Florist who made the most stunning bouquets and a gorgeous arbour for the ceremony. The loveliest touch was the hand made leaf confetti that Emily organised herself.
