[ Track ] Do you remember the moment when you turned to look down at your unique and profound path to just see the steel tracks of freewill ......no? Oh you my friend are in for a treat!
It's been an interesting year, I've definitely neglected instagram, and that's a fact. But rather than explain why I'll just say that i remain committed to posting things that make you enjoy clicking on the instagram icon and not fear it.
I took the Lumix s5ii and s5iix to Vietnam for a video project and after I had a few days I became obsessed with this train that passes through Hanoi, I spent hours talking to the people who have stores there sometimes lurking in the shadows as the locals went about their evening routines after all the lights were off catching random locomotives at 1 or 2 am.
I'm not sure I got "the shot" but it doesn't worry me, I learnt this year that I always create, constantly, I always have and I always will and I feel greatful that somehow this is still my job even if I am a bit behind in my editing at the moment.

[ Home ] In this moment, both creatures were exploring their home.
Lately I've been fortunate... Umm forced ? to to look back at my entire life with an entirely different perspective. Every decision, reaction, action and thought.
It's too early to to say how much (if anything) will change moving forward, but this little thing called "Executive function" seems to have been absent In a few too many (all) stories from my life.
Take for instance the day this photo was taken, (RIP 🙏💙) was over the moon to experience a lifetime dream of swimming with turtles, her excitement electrified the entire ocean drawing in turtles from every direction.
My memory of this moment ( besides being in awe of who I'm convinced was born in the ocean) was being overwhelmed by a "stressed numbness", a blanket feeling that I'd spent a lifetime learning how to rationalise and function in spite of.
If I describe every feeling I had at that moment be it positive, negative or abstract you would know them all, normal human stuff, but I was experiencing them all at once all loud and with equal importance, so my adaptation was in play stressfully suppressing them all so I could function, leaving me present, but numb.

So as I journey forward, experimenting with different ways of being "me" I am overwhelmed with gratitude and love for those who have taken the time to get to know me and take the good and bad , filtering whats important and understand why I often disappear.
