Many home buyers and builders are opting for a ‘minimalistic’ approach when it comes to not only how they decorate their new home but also its foundations and layout.

Shane and Kirsten just received the keys to their beautiful Nova home design with Inspire inclusions! We asked them some questions about their build experience, here’s what they had to say:

💫 What was your vision for your home?

We wanted a relaxed/homely vibe through the house that was welcoming. We wanted to feel like we were in our favourite place.

💫 What was your favourite part of the build journey?

The best bit was watching the evolution of our vision come together, watching our choices come to life.

💫 What’s your favourite feature of your new home?

Having our own space to retreat to at the front of the house with our master bedroom and separate living space. We’ve never had our own space to escape to. We love that the kids can have their space at the back of the home that we can shut off, and we can retreat to our own quiet space. We also love the hub of the home, we love how everything flows out onto the alfresco, there’s going to be a lot of time spend here as a family.

💫 Why did you choose Southern Vale?

It was the ultimate dream to build with Southern Vale. The Nova came along and we saw the chance to build with an “actual” builder instead of one of a volume build company. We loved the ability to change the plan to suit what we wanted at a price we could really make work for us, and that sealed the deal.
To be able to have home with quality rather than just a house was the biggest thing. We couldn’t believe what we saw was what we got with the Nova, no hidden costs for power points, downlights, etc. that we experienced with the other builders. Everything was just better with Southern Vale

💫 Any general comments on your Southern Vale experience?

We’d recommend it to anyone because it was smooth all the way. I (Kirsten) just love Southern Vale, I’m obsessed! I’d even start a supporter page! The communication has been really good the whole process.
This is just the first one – we will build more Southern Vale homes!

Yesterday, the Southern Vale crew had the privilege to be taken on a cultural tour around Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative (RAC). This immersive experience helped our team gain invaluable insights into the Indigenous culture and history around Mooroopna & Shepparton. It was great to see the efforts made by Aunty Cheryl, Uncle Lance and the rest of RAC to nurture and sustain the rich Indigenous culture of Mooroopna and Shepparton whilst providing safety, opportunities and care to the Aboriginal community.

Southern Vale has proudly collaborated with Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative to help build safe and supportive housing solutions for the Indigenous community of Mooroopna and Shepparton. We Thank Aunty Cheryl and Uncle Lance for taking their time to enrich us on the core values and history of Rumbalara.
