A 30 year veteran at Hatch, Jan is a positive and proactive business leader. Through his career, Jan has contributed to better projects and better business outcomes in the Mining, Infrastructure and Energy sectors through the entire lifecycle. Jan is based in Brisbane where he is Managing Director of Hatch in Australia-Asia and travels widely helping clients, partners and stakeholders achieve goals. Jan is a champion for positive change. In addition to his duties at Hatch, he is chair of the Australian Green Hydrogen consortium which seeks to investigate mining sector decarbonization; a Director of EnviroMets, a Queensland government initiative to find new value for post mining land; and an active contributor to the Development Partner Institute, Vinnies CEO sleep out, and many other community focused organisations.

This has resulted in significant growth and impact in the Canadian marketplace and beyond for both our CAMSC certified suppliers and our corporate and government members.
Known for her business and community environment involvement, Cassandra has been named one of Atlantic Business Magazineโs 2021 25 Most Powerful Women, and has received one of Canadian Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (CDEI) Corporate Directorsโ Award in 2023. She sits on the Supplier Advisory Council for Public Services Procurement Canada for the Government of Canada, the 50 โ 30 Challenge Advisory Board, and Dalhousie University Board of Governors.

Noel Ryan is the Assistant Coordinator, Market Development and Coordination and is responsible for the delivery of the Distributed Energy Resources Roadmap, whole of system planning and Wholesale Electricity Market matters. Prior to this, Noel held senior leadership roles across the electricity, water, ports, consulting and government sectors in the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia.
Noel is a utilities and infrastructure specialist with separate qualifications in accounting, finance and economics. He is also a Certified Practising Accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Robert Millard joined TransAlta Corporation in 2014 and is currently serving as Managing Director and Vice President of the Australian business based in Perth, Western Australia. In this role, Robert is accountable for the generation fleet, business operations, customer and commercial relationships, and all strategic planning.
Previously, Robert was accountable for all customer relationships at TransAltaโs North America facilities outside of Alberta, ensuring the successful re-contracting of PPAs and leveraging those relationships for future growth.
Robert has over 18 years of management experience in the power industry, having served as vice-president of a private renewable power developer before joining TransAlta. In that capacity, Robert successfully developed and built a run-of-river hydro plant in British Columbia with a 60-year PPA and a 150 MW wind facility in North Dakota. In addition, he negotiated agreements with offtakers, First Nations, ensured regulatory and legislative compliance for wind and hydro projects across Canada and the US, and led all government, stakeholder and media relations.
Prior to entering the power sector, Robert practised law with a leading Calgary firm in the areas of energy matters and commercial litigation. During that time, Robert appeared successfully before all levels of Court in Alberta, as well as the Federal Court of Canada.
Robert is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and Calgary Bar Association. He holds a Bachelor of Education (with Distinction) and a Bachelor of Laws (with Great Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan.

Canadian Australian Chamber of Commerceโs (CACC) recent panel discussion in Toronto on May 28, 2024, hosted by corporate partner KPMG Canada, on ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ (๐๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐) and its impact on CX brought together experts to dive into this transformative technology. The event kicked off with remarks from The Honourable Scott Ryan, Australian High Commissioner to Canada, who underscored the importance of Canadian-Australian collaboration on policy, practices, and privacy as it relates to the emerging AI landscape. John Roberts, Associate Deputy Minister and Chief Data Officer of Ontario, followed with insights on the critical role of data management and privacy in the AI landscape, highlighting the need for robust governance to ensure ethical AI practices.
Smita Challu Tulsani, Co-Chair of the CACC Ontario Committee, introduced the panel and moderator. The diverse panel featured industry leaders: Alexis Zamkow, Intelligent Marketing Global Offering Leader from IBM, Isaac De Souza, Artificial Intelligence & Emerging Technology Risk Officer from BMO, and Amol Shah, General Manager, Americas Data & AI from Microsoft Canada, moderated by Chitra Sridar, Head of Services for KPMGโs Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence. The panelists brought a balanced view to the session with thought provoking discussion.
Kareem Sadek, Partner, Advisory, Tech Risk for KPMG provided closing remarks on the panel discussion that shed light on the transformative potential of generative AI in customer experience. From tackling biases and ethical concerns to harnessing AI for personalized marketing, the event highlighted the strategic importance of AI implementation.
