Maroondah City Council has just advertised positions of Kindergarten Outreach Officer and Bilingual Childrens Services Officer. Both positions have a focus on helping members of Myanmar/Burmese communities transition to kindergarten and school. Neither advertisement explicitly mentions the Parent-Child Mother Goose program, but it does sound to us like a background in P-CMG might be useful in either of these positions if you happen to meet the other employment criteria. If you've got Spotify Premium, did you know you could create your own playlist of Parent-Child Mother Goose favourite songs or rhymes and take them with you to play anywhere (say, in the car)? Turns out it's actually pretty simple.

You can download any of the songs or rhymes on our website to your computer by clicking the download links on our songs and rhymes pages.

To get them from your computer into a Spotify playlist, see the link below. (Note that you will need to install the Spotify app onto your computer. You can't do this simply from the Spotify website.)

What is Parent-Child Mother Goose?

Parent-Child Mother Goose is an evidence-based program that strengthens attachment and interaction between parents or carers and their young children by introducing them to the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories together.

Through the program, parents gain skills and confidence that help them create positive family patterns during their children's crucial early years. At the same time, children benefit from enjoyable, healthy early experiences with language and communication.

Parent-Child Mother Goose is particularly suitable for parents and carers who need extra support because of their own personal or social circumstances, or because their children have special needs or are otherwise at risk.
