Our favourite time of day here at ::BLACKWOOD:: As the sun goes down the external lighting comes on automatically and the carefully curated internal lighting throughout the house is showcased.📸

Last weeks site visit to Eumundi Range. What a challenge this design was to create a seamless transition from the upper level of the house down to the new swimming pool and cabana area. We achieved this through a series of landings with breakout spaces giving the owners plenty of opportunities for outdoor living and socialising.

Flashback to our Tannum Sands Forever Home for M & J our wonderful clients who entrusted us with the design of their beachfront home. They gave us an opened ended brief in terms of style and we were able to create this stunning home for them which they are delighted with. Trusting in the process with your architect is the key to a great outcome.

Flashback to our Doonan Glasshouse. Such happy memories were made here but it was time to move on and challenge ourselves both creatively and mentally with the design and build of :: BLACKWOOD:: and here we are having been here for over a year we are now thinking about doing it all over again. Are we crazy or what. Please let us know….

Our River a house sitting high up on the banks of the Brisbane River in Indooroopilly now has its slab poured. Now the building will transition into a home for our amazing Clients A & J. Excited to see the progress over the coming months.

Did you know we do all of our Interior Design here in house at SWA. We believe that the architecture flows cohesively into the interior spaces throughout the home. Right from the very start of the briefing stage with our clients we get a full understanding of what the interiors form,function and materiality should be.

Our first home back when we arrived here in Australia in 2006. Now we are in our 4th house ::BLACKWOOD:: here in Doonan. Do we have another one in us ? Watch this space …..
