First update of 2024! Happy New Year all, if you had a break hope it was a good one and that you've settled back in nicely :)

Update 5.2.89 contains the following Tweaks & Fixes

*Unit sale Invoices will now print both "Invoice to" and "Registered owner" if both of these things are selected

*Added a new EPC Import for Suzuki and added Lambretta (Mojo) EPC import option

*Workshop Planner. When set to Plan by Receive Date, New Jobs will default both Receive and Start date to be date selected. (Previously start date was defaulting to current day)

*Giftcard changes to better cope with reused Gift Cards. If you want to read more about this you can do so in the link below

*Modify Transaction. For Creditor/Debtor transactions that can be modified you can now change what Contact that transaction applies to.

*Shopify. Update API version as previous implemented version is now deprecated

*When Unit is sold, c9 will clear the trust provider. This way there are no issues if Unit is purchased back.

*c9 Account Alert Window tweak. Make it more obvious what nature of alert is (e.g. old version of c9 vs overdue account)

*For dealerships that have a Website with us. Option to apply rules based on Australian state. This means you can price freight differently for interstate, or target specific states.

*When you sell Spares to a Unit this will now always create a new Workshop job as apposed to adding parts to an existing job. Note this is for selling direct to a Unit, not a Unit Deal

*Account Comments. The comments box in Accounts will now wrap text

*New GL Codes added; Equipment at Cost over Cost Limit. To track cars purchased over LCT

*Button to Print Statement from View Transactions screen was broken. This is now fixed

Long time between posts, I know. I was on Holidays and then as soon as I got back I was away again for an install..

There have been 5 updates since I last posted. We are seeing out the year with v5.2.50
There have been lots of great tweaks and fixes in these updates. There is too much for me to type in here but some highlights include;

-Improvements to Bulk Transaction/ABA files and Warranty Export

Two updates this week. v5.2.44 and v5.2.45

v5.2.45 includes changes to Suzuki Magician to cope with Multi Factor Authentication. If you are a Suzuki dealer please read the link below for v5.2.45

v5.2.44 includes the following great tweaks and fixes..

*Ficeda Integration;
-Ficeda Magician check has been reinstated
-Added Part Image importer for Ficeda
-Ficeda price file from the Repo now embeds variant and meta data for sizing and colours

*Dealership Units screen now shows number of Units and Cost Tally on key tabs

*Spares Stock List/Stock Summary option to enable/disable last buy/stock buy variance. This will be disabled by default

*Reprint Deposits was not migrated to v5.2 correctly. This is now fixed

*Tweaks to Mojo Fiche importer makes it significantly faster

*New GL Expense code Labour Hire/Subcontractor (5-7000-0226)

*Review Charts in c9 (Business > Charts) A lot of these were never upgraded to work with v5. This has now been fixed substantially

*New Login setting to restrict ability to F8 Freeform Spares. This is enabled by default. To diable you will need to modify the login settings

*Some tweaks to how the recently added "Default Customer Discount" Setting works. On upgrade to this versions, the flag will be set for all login useres if not set for any yet. This is to create uniformity with how all other Login settings work

Other fixes include;
*Print Deals, You now can filter and only print deals included in filtered results

*Link International Magician was broken is now fixed

*Free NSW Rego check has been disabled. NSW State government have made changes to their website which broke the scraper. Since we now have a professionally supported service, support for free scrapers will be gradually removed as each one fails due to website modifications

*Mojo EPC Importer. Changes made so as this will continue to work

*Found another example of circular network graphs of Spares Invoices where it was not possible to print an invoice. This is now fixed

*A previous version of c9 disabled to ability to merge invoices into a new reserve invoice. Some refinements here to enforce this behavior

*Cancel part via the Orderbook for a Workshop job under some circumstances would result in order qty on Workshop job updating incorrectly. This is now fixed

*Bulk Floorplan Payout was not migrated to v5.1. This is now done (Setup > Other Settings > Bulk Payout Sold Units)

*Recent Changes to Unit stock take report broke the grouping of Units in the report. This is now fixed

*Quicksuper export, the date encoding was incorrect. This has now been switched to DD/MM/YYYY format

This weeks update, 5.2.42, includes the following tweaks and fixes.

*A fix with regards to Whites Powersports pricefiles. Re-Import the WPS pricefile for these changes to take effect. You can read about this in the link below

*Fixes made to the Spares Invoice Importer for Toro.

*Bug fix with regards to Unit Sale. You can read more about this in the link below

*View Spares Invoice. If operator somehow created a circular graph of invoices you would not be able to view the Spares invoice. This is now fixed

*Tweaks and Fixes to Unit Stock Take Report;
- Retain capitalisation on Floorplan Make section
- Report was incorrectly listing 'Goods Only in with receipt' Units as not owned. This is now fixed

*In Fiche Diagrams, parts which are N/C the retail pricing displayed on screen was incorrect at times. This is now fixed

*Tweaks and Fixes with regards to Discount Vouchers
-Updated Balance Sheet so voucher liability excludes discount vouchers
-Fix Auto reconcile so it does not bark on discount vouchers
-Fixed long standing issue with Contra GL code for discounts. More info in link below

*Tweaks and fixes to Bulk Bill Pay/Direct Debit
-Customer BSB on screen was incorrect. This is now fixed. Please note, it was still fine in the ABA file. It was just what was on screen that was wrong
-Colour code deleted lines so it is obvious when highlighted line is deleted (Grey Background, Italic font)

*Tweaks to SA Contact Paperwork;
- Included Statutory cooling off rights for used Unit Sales

*Bugfix with regards to adding a generic transaction in the Bank Rec screen

*Print Payment remittance advice will now print a detailed list of reconciled transactions, not just the directly allocated transactions. This will only happen if;
- The transaction is a payment or billpay
- All directly allocated transaction belong to the same allocation event
- All Transactions in allocation event tally to 0 and their allocation amounts match line transaction amounts

*Workshop Estimates; Structured (Standard) Estimates have been heavily reworked to be easier to use.

*You are now able to change settings of Login users to control which logins can alter default discounts on customer accounts.

*A bugfix with regards to selling Parts to a Unit Deal which doesn't have a customer attached to it

*Some low level tweaks in Website Structure

*In Unit deals there is now a "Print Spares Picklist" similar to that in Workshop jobs

*Modify Job. If while modifying a Workshop job you clicked "View Unit" The changes you were working on would revert. This is now fixed

*Magician & Importer integrations;
- Ron Angel Magician is working again
- Added Magician for GA Spares
- KTM Parts Images are working again but please note. KTM have modified their website to throttle/rate limit traffic. As a result importer is now significantly slower and less reliable
- Polaris has been removed entirely from c9. Their new dealer portal cannot be integrated in

*Purchase Unit, check if inputted invoice number lives on a previously purchased unit

*Orderbook Bulk Move function which was originally added to help manage KTM groups weird stock ordering rules.. Tweaked it so it will respond to attributes on either stock or master file. For dealers who manually manipulate/manage stock order cat attribute on stocked items in lieu of waiting for them to ever issue an updated price file..

*In Unit Deals the PPSR button would float in an awkward spot when the window was maximised. This is now fixed

*Some tweaks and fixes regarding Split Payments. You can read more about this on the link below

*Tweaks to Online Giftcards. Read more about this in the link below

*Unit Line Report. Profit figure would not show negative (-) sign for negative profit lines. This is now fixed

*Add Payment. Debtor Payments incorrectly required a Clerk Key with Credit/Refund permissions. This is now fixed

*Auto/Manual allocate transaction settings. Always auto allocate Depositor balances because of strict business rules around deposit management, manual allocation will almost always result in transaction failure on usage of deposits (Withdrawals can never be unallocated)

*Spares merge parts on pickup. Will now merge Freight to be charged amounts

*Pay slips; Gross figure would previously subtract Voluntary Super. This is now fixed not to do this

*Unit Deals; Option to attach images etc to deals

*Unit Sales; For sales on account with a deposit print balance owing figure on them

*Reworked Unit Deals screen for finished/cancelled deals to display a view deal screen. You can access commonly requested things from here

*Loose mode Units. A couple of dealers run c9 in a mode where Floor Units can be added quickly during a sale. This mode conflicts with recent changes put in place to protect against selling/modification of units. This has now been fixed to support these dealers

*A bug fix related to Transaction aging tool

Polaris have a new IT system.

The Price File they have currently provided is not suitable for importing. It lacks part descriptions, it lacks supersessions and it encodes pricing in a very awkward way.

We have managed to mash together a rough as guts price file as a temporary workaround. It mashes descriptions from online EPC and supers from prior files. It is imperfect but you might find it to be better than nothing. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

This update includes the following tweaks and fixes

*Refinement to recently added Sell Giftcard in Spares Point of Sale. Would have an whinge if discount of sale was greater than max discount. Even though the giftcard itself would not be discounted. This is now fixed

*A tweak in View Transactions. Specifically to determine which job(s) a sublet invoice belongs to. You can read more about this in the link below

*A bug in Unit Sales. Unit Sales sometimes needs to manipulate/ create multiple journal postings. e.g. One for sale and one for rebates on sold units. Under some exotic and difficult to replicate circumstances, journals posted could get muddled with unit lines posting onto the rebate line. You can read about the repairs in the link below

Update 5.2.30 includes an awesome new feature along with tweaks and fixes..

NEW
*Ability to sell Giftcards through Spares Point of Sale mixed in with parts. Just F7 to access adding a gift card to sale.
This work is part of a project to integrate giftcards into online websites (selling and using). Originally planned for 5.3 but bringing it forward.

Tweaks and fixes

*When doing a Supplier Return via Point of Sale, operator must now pick "Create Supplier Credit Now" or "Create Supplier Credit Later". Previously this would default to Create Now.
If invoice now is selected you must enter something in the Order Number field

*When receiving spares you can receive invoices that are dated in the future. It will nag you to confirm but you can proceed

*Print Deal, for deals tagged as quotes it will display QUOTE in the top right instead of DEAL

*Merge other invoices nag: Default to NO. This function seems to get overused leaving long messy trails of interconnected invoices, so discourage its use unless the operator positively wants to do this

*C9 Setup Screen would lock up under certain cases. This is now fixed

*Payroll 2022 updates. If you are the person who does the payroll be sure to read about this in the link below

*Print/Reprint spares invoice would not display properly if there was a refund/exchange of a value greater than 10,000. Would previously display # # # # This is now fixed

*PPSR Report; Suppress raw report page by default

*Fitment finder; For Franchises where dealers initially used remote EPC but switched to locally loaded EPC, fitment finder would return an error. This is now fixed

*Tweaks to Spares receival page and labels;
-Spares receive labels will print order number with phone number if order number is set
-Spares receive labels and A4 page will print "OP" instead of "SP" for weborders (OP being online parts sales)

*When you are adding/modifying a rebate it will display and allow user to toggle whether or not the rebate is being included in profit figures for that unit

*In View Contact. Parts on order tab. There is now a view part/view invoice button in the tab

*Supplier Bill split payments has been added. Read how to in the link below

*In View Transactions the displayed reference is both the transaction reference and the line reference

*In Modify transaction. Allow modification of line reference here as well as transaction reference

*If you modify a transaction which is a sale and on account c9 would nag to use deposit, if there was any, every time. Now only nags for new transactions or transactions which were previously not active

*Changes in Bank rec;
-Increase size of reference
-For Cash Till, set reference to also include the payment instrument and till #

*5.2 regression fix; On workshop jobs, completed but fully deposited jobs would colour code purple. This behaviour was accidently lost on move to 5.2. This has been readded

*Added an aging adjusment feature. In View Transactions > Adjust Aging.. It works a bit differently to how this sort of thing was handled in the past where we would post new txns to force aging to values we want. Instead new system juggling allocations of payments to bills to arrive at desired aging. So no requirement to post anything to general ledger in order to arrive at desired aging figures.

Update 5.2.26 contains the following great updates and fixes;

*In Unit Deals > Cancelled Deals there is now a button to allow access to deposit history so as you can see deposit movement on abandoned deals

*In Unit Deals if you added a deal but then cancelled before pressing OK to save, c9 would not log it as a cancelled deal. This is now tweaked to create a more detailed log

*Receive Spares onto account would not set the due date on supplier correctly. This is now fixed

*Rebates. There is now the option to exclude a rebate from Unit Profit reporting. Some rebates may need to be tracked against a unit but dealer may not wish to attribute income directly to the sale of the unit

*Payment Instrument and Till Tweaks;
-In dealerships that use more than 1 Till Payment instrument was not showing on detailed Till reports for Tills other than Till 1. This is now fixed
-Tweaked regeneration of GL chart names to auto regenerate & backfill Till names for Till 2 and upwards as well

*Browse Unpaid Bills was incorrectly showing deleted transactions as bills to pay. This is now fixed

*Payroll Tweaks;
-Foreign Resident (non resident) along with appropriate tax tables have been re-added
-Working Holiday Maker; Force Medicare tax lines to be removed
