Geelong College: The team has been busy over the last few months with this new gymnasium centre for Geelong College. Consisting of 200T of steel and with a clear span of 43m the gymnasium section is now complete. All the steel has been painted to specialised 2 coat and 3 coat systems.

St Patrick’s College Auditorium

Plinius have been completing over the past few months this brand new 800 seat auditorium for St Patrick College in Ballarat.
Consisting of 150t of steel with a challenging construction methodology, the new facility will be open for student later this year.

Lorne Primary School.

We recently completed this new build along the Great Ocean Road. Set in Lorne on a heavily sloping block. The difficult project including nearby buildings, native trees and lack of surrounding lay down areas proved to be challenging. Consisting of 70 tonne of steel this 2 levels building with great views, provides the school with future additional capacity with modern facilities.

Bacchus Marsh Stadium
This new 4 court stadium consists of 275 tonne of steel. Including steel subfloor and a challenging curved external canopy. This stadium should be opened by mid 2023

North Melbourne FC

Plinius had the opportunity to complete its second AFL project for 2022 with this extension at Arden St. Consisting of 50 tonne of structural steel and the screening frames, this 2 storey building will house Nth Melbourne’s AFLW programme.

Plinius are delighted to have been involved in the redevelopment of the Carlton FC facilities. Our 4th AFL project, consisted of 260 tonne of steel with the construction of a New Pool, Office facilities, Gym, Indoor training field and a Match day pavilion for game day. The tight site access, multiple concurrent work fronts and short construction times wouldn’t of been achieved without the team at CBW Crane Hire and Rigging. Blues re-open home, Stage Two of redevelopment complete Stage Two of the IKON Park redevelopment has been completed.

Catherine McAuley College Bendigo.
Plinius recently started this new Sporting facility in Bendigo. Consisting on 180t of steel the new facility will be used by the College, Cricket Australia and host Cricket Victoria’s regional office and home the Northern Rivers regional cricket hub. The Building Will house indoor basketball court and a 6 pitch indoor cricket facility.

IKON PARK: Structural Steel construction of the new Indoor Training Facility for the Carlton FC is almost complete. Measuring 25m wide, 60m long and 15m high it will allow Carlton to run full training drills indoors when required.

Wollert P.S.
To finish the year off, we completed the structural steel for the brand new school in Melbourne’s North. Consisting of an Early learning centre, Admin, Library, Learning Neighbourhood, Gymnasium, Bus Interchange, Bike shelter and Covered ways linking all. With the Buildings built over 5 weeks and during the challenges of COVID lockdowns the builder reached completion this week. This school will open to new student at the start of 2022.

Brimbank Leisure Centre: During 2021 we have been completing this 600t Monster in St Albans in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs. Consisting of an Olympic 50m pool, 25m pool, kids splash zone, Water slides, indoor gyms and community facilities this facility will be open to the public in April. Installed by CBW Crane Hire and Rigging with some help on the big lifts from Premier Cranes & Rigging we will be finished early 2022.

JUBILEE SUPERMARKET: Situated in Wyndham Vale. Plinius have just completed this brand new 1250sq/m supermarket consisting of 45 tonne of steel and 1500l/m purlins over a 4 week fabrication and install period.
