Teams that care as much as these guys do inevitably feel the pressure at times. Which is why today, for a hot (and cold) minute we kicked off our work boots and did a bit of breathwork at .chill.exhale - some of us even had a sauna and an ice bath.

We’ll continue to get together as a team each month to bring awareness to our breath and the power it has to calm us down in stressful times - because it’s tools like these that help us be better on the other tools, those that build your beautiful pools.

Here’s a few important things to consider when picking your pool builder.

Communication is key. From the very onset - has your initial enquiry been responded to promptly? Have you been waiting weeks for a quote that was promised ages ago? First impressions count and communication is imperative to a smooth-running project.

Recommendations. It’s not often you’ll find yourself building more than one pool in your lifetime so you’re going to want to trust in the opinions of those that have done it before. It’s all well and good for me to sing my own praises but the biggest compliment is a client crediting us for a job well done. Listen to these people.

Construction experience. You want the people who know how to get things built. You want them to understand your site and work with you, to problem solve, and deliver exactly what you want. You want the guys who can think big picture and approach your pool build as if it was their own!

☀️ Where in your space captures the most sun? It’s nice to put a pool right there.

🪟 Do you have a sloped block that could benefit from a pool out of ground? You might consider a pool window for impact.

🩵 What colour water do you want to swim in? Knowing this early means we can work backwards in your tile and beadcrete selections.

🏊‍♀️ And most importantly, when do you want to be taking that first delicious dip? Understanding when you want the pool will guide us as to when we should be building your pool.

We’re here to answer all of your questions. We’re here to calm your nerves. It’s a big deal building a pool - but I promise you the endless games of Marco Polo are totally always worth it.

Hi, I’m Kate and I’m a self confessed over sharer. Someone who leaves conversations thinking - why didn’t you just say “good thanks” instead of telling my whole life story. A real heart on sleeve type gal.

But as cringeworthy as I can find myself, this trait of mine has forged the way for how we do things are Cronulla Pools. Great communication in business is all about oversharing. Letting you know what's coming up at all the different stages, updating you even when there's not much to update you on, and embarking on this pool building process with you feeling totally empowered by the knowledge you've gotten from me and my team. Oh my goodness, putting the hose in your pool is one of the most exciting moments of your pool building journey. It's nearly finished. You are moments away from group texting the gang to fill up the eskies and head over for a Sunday arvo swim.

Depending on the size of your pool it'll take around a day or two to fill up and your water will likely look a little green to begin with. Don't stress - I know how you are all dying for that crystal clear water colour and it'll get there once we've balanced the water and kick started the equipment.

You don’t have to tell me how incredible this team of people are. I see first hand how hard they work. How excited they get to finish projects and fill pools. I see them laugh with our trades and with each other and catch up for drinks after work. I hear them talk about their beautiful families and their plans for the weekend.

They are a bunch of really wonderful humans and it makes me so happy that their hard work has been recognized in the awesome projects they continue to deliver for you lucky lucky clients of ours!

When I stare dreamily at this beautiful pool, I don't just see the crystal blue water. It's not just about that curved bench seat or how it sits perfectly in the most sun-drenched spot of the backyard. I see it full to the brim with happy faces. I see wet towels draped on the bench seat and pool toys galore and I hear the kids singing Marco. Polo.
Yeah, we build pools. But so much more than that, are the memories you create in the pools that we build.

Once your pool is safely fenced, we are ready to do the interiors. Fencing before the interiors is imperative because if you're going with Beadcrete then once that's all installed, we need to fill the pool immediately. And aint no one filling a pool without a safe and compliant pool fence!!

So, first we do the fencing, then we do the interiors. Making these interior decisions, in my experience, is one of the toughest you'll face during the design and build of your pretty pool. The choices for your pool's internals are plentiful. First you pick if you want to fully tile the pool or if you'd prefer to render on the Designer Beadcrete - both beautiful options but will likely come down to both personal style and budget. To tile your pool will increase the cost of your pool build.

Once you've made that decision (go you), now you need to decide on the colour. We always recommend working backwards from the colour water you'd like to be swimming in. You want sky blue; you'll be looking at white interiors. You want deep green then you might consider an emerald green or even black interior.

Safe to say these decisions have been known to stump a few clients of ours and although we are always here to help, it comes down to your pick in the end. So, what i need you do to is to consider these things early in the piece, and we'll keep reminding you too. The earlier you can get your head around exactly what you want, the better!
